We appreciate you taking the time to learn about us. We want you to know how deeply we respect you and the brave choices you are making. It must be an unimaginably complicated decision for you and we are so grateful you would consider us as a family to support and love your child. We know above all that you are putting your child first.
We have explored several avenues in becoming parents, but adoption is the only option that felt completely right in our hearts. We have built our lives together on the foundation that we would one day have a family, and we are ready to welcome, nurture, care for, and celebrate a child. Your caring and loving decision will allow us to grow our family, and we know we will be loving and dedicated parents.
We will provide a safe, loving, and supportive atmosphere for your child to grow up in. We plan to ensure they know we are always there to offer unconditional love, guidance, and support along the way, and that the brave decision you made was out of love and care. We will always speak about you with respect and are open to meeting you and sharing photos and updates as your child grows.
Thank you for getting to know us, and please know your brave choice is something we will never be able to say thank you enough for.
It’s amazing how one day someone walks into your life and you can’t remember how you ever lived without them. This is the story of us. Adam, an implementation specialist for banking software, and Scott, creative director for an educational publishing company, were brought together on a blind date at a Mongolian restaurant.
Adam’s left brain is the perfect complement to Scott’s right brain, making for a truly harmonious and loving relationship. We were married four years later and have built a wonderful life together with amazing support from family and friends.
At the base of the Rocky Mountains, we love to explore the beauty Colorado has to offer year round. We lead a healthy and active lifestyle and enjoy going to the gym, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, casual game nights with friends, and traveling to unique destinations.
We own a home together in a family-friendly neighborhood that will offer your child great educational and cultural experiences and over 300 days of sunshine in one of the nation’s healthiest cities.
We are fortunate to have wonderful neighbors. Two of these neighbors are families who adopted, and through the years we have watched their children grow and thrive. They are more than dear friends; they are a source of inspiration and support as we navigate the adoption process.
We share our home with two loving lap dogs. Sonny is a Cavalier mix with the biggest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen. Pookah is a Shih Tzu with the cutest little snore as he falls asleep.
Our Extended Family
We are both blessed to come from close-knit families founded on love. Adam was raised in a small Midwestern town where his parents, younger brother, and extensive extended family still reside. His adventurous nephew and newborn niece hold a special place in his heart. Scott, a Colorado native has lived close to family all of his life. His parents and two younger brothers get together weekly for a family bowling league and gather frequently for family dinners that often involve a friendly game of corn hole.
The holidays are extremely important to us and our families. On Thanksgiving, everyone gathers at Adam’s parent’s lake house. It is a multi-generational slumber party with every bed, couch, and chair occupied. Without fail, everyone wakes at 5am for a day full of food, family, and memories. As autumn turns to winter, Scott continues the tradition of assembling the village under the family Christmas tree. What started as a couple ceramic houses has grown to an entire day project with a myriad of lighted buildings and decorative figurines. The village becomes the central gathering point on Christmas day, where family gathers (in their pajamas) for a day full of love, giving, and Christmas cookies.
Traveling has been an important part of who we are as well. We were engaged while parasailing in Mexico, and we have returned several times as a reminder of where we started our journey together. We recently framed a map of the world and began to mark the places we have been together, as well as mark the places on our bucket list.
What Led Us To Adoption
The desire to start a family has been a dream of ours since the beginning, and we have worked hand in hand to establish a strong foundation upon which our family will be built. After taking parenting skills classes and giving thoughtful consideration to all available options, we know in our hearts that providing a loving home through adoption is the right decision for us.
