Dear Expectant Mother,
This is probably the toughest letter we have ever written. We want to start by thanking you for taking the time to consider us as parents. If chosen, we can assure you your child will be loved and cared for greatly. We have a supportive network of family and friends, so your child will grow around people who will love and cherish him or her more than anything.
We are committed to providing a stable and loving home for your child. We will speak highly of you and the sacrifice you are making. Trying to start a family has been a long and difficult journey for us, but we also understand this is a difficult decision for you as well. We are here to support you, however we can. We know you have a lot of families to choose from, and we are sure all of those families are also very deserving. We hope you make the decision you are proud of, and we hope to welcome you and your child into our family.
Thank you for considering this path, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to become parents.
We have been married for almost six years and have a loving, playful, and committed relationship with each other. Alex is a contractor, and Mabel is a speech-language pathologist. In our free time, Alex loves fixing things around the house, restoring old cars, and cooking, and Mabel loves running, singing, dancing, baking, reading, swimming, and writing. Together, we enjoy going to the movies, traveling, eating out, cooking together at home, going to church, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with our dogs! We are always trying to find fun things to do that allow us to spend time together, and we cannot wait to add a little one to the mix to expand our hobbies and adventures.
We live in a two-story, four-bedroom home with a large, fenced-in backyard and a game room, where we play pool and ping pong. We live on a cul-de-sac in a quiet, friendly neighborhood filled with families and children playing together. We also have two dogs, who are very friendly and loving. We cannot wait to share this peaceful, fun world with your little one!
Our Extended Family
We both come from close-knit families, and we are always in contact with them. Alex’s parents live locally, and their home has a pool, which makes them a prime summer cookout location for the family. We spend most special occasions and holidays together here, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, although the Christmas Day celebration is usually held at our home. Alex also has one sister and two nephews, and the nephews usually stay with us during summer holidays and even come with us on summer vacations.
Unfortunately, Mabel’s parents are both deceased. However, she has two sisters and two brothers, who all live out of town. We visit frequently, especially during holidays, and because we all live so far away from each other, these visits are all the more special. Mabel also has two very close friends who live only a few short blocks away, and they are so close they, too, are like family.
We all can’t wait to add a little one to the family. Everyone is so excited and supportive, and ready to love your child to their fullest.
What Led Us To Adoption
After several surgeries and infertility treatments, we have been unsuccessful in having biological children. Together, we decided adoption is the path meant for us to become parents, as it has always been an option in our minds to grow our family. Mabel’s friend also recently adopted an eight-year-old child, and watching them bond and grow together has made our hearts full. To us, adoption is an exciting and rewarding path, and it will bring us so much joy to grow our family through a little one and his or her birth family.
