Dear Expectant Mother,
Being blessed with a child will complete our home, and we can’t wait to hear the laughter of a child. We dream about taking our child to Disney parks with annual passes and providing a child with love and the opportunities they need to develop their talents. We believe in education and diversity, and we dream of helping a child grow into a good person who is passionate about what they do. We are in a good financial position and look forward to traveling with our child as they learn to see the world with an inclusive and respectful eye.
We will encourage our kid to learn Spanish, English, and as many languages as he or she wants. We will instill the desire for learning and teach him or her to be proud of their origins and their story. We want our child to fight for his or her dreams and to develop values and respect for family, friends, animals, the environment, and the world. We will help him or her to develop a spiritual basis to understand that everything will be right in the end, no matter how hard life can be. We will instill a belief in the strength of his or her spirit to fight for their dreams because everything in this life starts with a dream.
We are both federal employees and met in Puerto Rico in 2002. It’s has been almost 17 years now, and we treasure each day. We spend our time after work enjoying each other's company and spending time with our dogs and friends. Antonio likes to cook, host, garden, and design landscapes; he also enjoys decorating the house for all of the seasons. Antonio ran a cake business, and he’s always dreamed of making the most beautiful cakes for his children and creating happy memories as they grow up. Enrique loves all music, including mixing music. He is a fan of movies; we have over 600 DVDs and a big collection of Disney classics that we know a child will enjoy. Enrique has a passion for gaming, computers, phones, electronics, sports, and the beach.
Our home is located in a golf community. The environment is very tropical and beachy. Our town is an intracoastal town, with a historic downtown and a very small-town feel. One of our hobbies is working on the patio, and our home has a beautiful tropical garden around it. We enjoy beaches, downtown historic streets, parks, fountains, and kayaking on the many canals and peaceful rivers. We are close enough to the Orlando area that we can drive at least once a month to enjoy the parks and attractions. We currently have three dogs. They are miniature schnauzers, and they are very smart dogs that are very spoiled and loved members of our home.
Our Extended Family
Antonio has been enjoying having his father around since he recently moved closer to us. Antonio has two siblings: a brother who lives in Puerto Rico with his wife and a sister who is relocating to Florida with her husband. They are all very excited about the idea of having a nephew or niece since they don’t have kids of their own yet. Sadly, Antonio’s mother passed away a few years ago.
Enrique’s family is bigger, with four brothers and many nieces and nephews. Some of them live in Puerto Rico or other states. Some live in Florida, and we enjoy their company often. We like to spend holidays together, such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, birthdays, Thanksgiving, Easter, and the Fourth of July. We have built many memories with family and friends that we treasure.
Our friends ask us to reserve them a room for this or that date because they joke we are always hosting friends and family with kids. We also enjoy quality time with neighbors, friends, and family, like going swimming and camping. We can’t wait for a little one to join us!
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always treasured the idea of becoming parents. We spent years trying to obtain a more secure financial lifestyle as well as establish structure. We believe it’s now time to expand our home with a child. We have enjoyed the children of our family and friends, and we become “uncles” for all of them. Now we are confident it is time to have our own child, and we know we are able to bring all the love and structure a child needs to develop a happy and healthy life.
