Dear Expectant Mother,
Words clearly cannot begin to express the emotions we have writing this and the excitement of starting a family. We admire your courage, bravery, and compassion for considering adoption. While the information in our profile is a snapshot of our lives, we hope it is a great starting point to develop a deeper relationship and understanding with each other.
We plan to be loving parents who raise our child to be accepting, confident, cultured, and outgoing. We were fortunate to be raised in homes where the value of education, acceptance, and responsibility were instilled in us and we will instill those same values for your child. We are looking forward to taking this next step in our lives and look forward to the love and joy experienced by raising a child.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and our loving families. We look forward to connecting with you and learning more about one another!
Our adventures, lifelong love, and commitment all started with a simple friend request on Facebook over eight years ago, and we officially sealed our commitment to each other when we married in December 2013. When not spending time with together, Tyson works for a national university, and Brandon serves in an administrative role for a local city. Traveling is one of our favorite things to do together, and something we do multiple times throughout the year, and we look forward to future family travels. We also love to play the latest video game, cook a new meal, or watch our favorite shows and movies. During the summer, you can always find us at the local amphitheaters listening to our favorite bands or something new.
We built our house in 2015, and it currently has three bedrooms and two baths, with a basement ready to grow with our young family. We love to be outside and spend every opportunity working in the yard whether it be playing with our dogs (Niya & Riki), planting trees and flowers, or just barbecuing and relaxing around the fire pit. Our home is walking distance from some of our closest friends, so get togethers are a normal occurrence. In addition to our wonderful neighbors, our house is situated just a couple of minutes from a 62-acre county park that has activities for children of all ages, and the local elementary school is only a short distance away.
Our Extended Family
We are both extremely close with both our immediate and extended families. Both of our parents live in Utah and remain a vital part of our lives. Brandon has three older siblings who each have children, and Tyson has two younger brothers. We are extremely active in all aspects of our families’ lives. Family is extremely important to the both of us, and we take every opportunity to spend time with them. Tyson’s family is a short drive away, and at least once a month we have a Sunday dinner where we all get together to eat, laugh, and tell stories.
The holidays are a time when our families get together for food, music, games, and fun is had by all. Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving standout as the biggest yearly traditions. Brandon’s family holds a family reunion every year at Bear Lake, which includes fun on the lake, by the shore, and camping in the beautiful mountains which encompass the state!
What Led Us To Adoption
Having a family of our own has always been a hope for our future. We wanted to make sure the timing was right so we can give a child the attention and life experiences we had growing up. We are both extremely close with our families and attend all sibling, niece, and nephew activities and have seen the joy and richness children bring into everyone’s life. As we have traveled the globe, we are always pointing out the families who are loving life with each other and hope that one day the dream of having a family of our own comes true.
