Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for taking time to read this letter. We are grateful to be considered as a potential home for your child, and we are excited for the opportunity to grow our family. We also want you to know we respect the difficult decision you are considering. Whatever decision you make, we pray the Lord will guide you and lead you down the right path.
We truly admire you and your incredible strength and courage for considering adoption for your baby. We are a family of four, with two young daughters who can’t wait to be big sisters. We have a large extended family that is very diverse and can’t wait to add to the beautiful “melting pot” that we have within our family. Our extended family is extremely close and your baby will be so loved and cared for. We encourage our children to follow their dreams and to be whatever they want. We would do the same for your beautiful bundle of joy.
We hope this book shows you that our family will be a great fit for your child. We have so much love, laughter, and warmth to give! We are excited for this opportunity that God has given us. Thank you for your time, and may the Lord bless you and guide you in your decision.
After a decade together, we have been through countless uplifting moments and a few tragedies. Through it all, we have striven to stay grounded in our faith and teach strong morals and family values to our children. We maintain a close relationship with our extended family and enjoy traveling, camping, dinners, and parties together as a large group. Adam works in sales, and this has also allowed us to travel as a family on a few occasions. Our girls love to dance and have learned this from Brittany, who teaches at a dance school. We are blessed to have the ability to bring another child into our family through adoption and will provide unconditional love and support to him or her throughout their path in life.
We live in a recently remodeled, four bedroom home located 10 miles outside of town. This allows us to have plenty of space for the kids to play outside and for us to take relaxing walks while still having neighbors close by. We enjoy spending time on our large wrap-around porch while the kids play. As a family, we love to grab lunch after church and head to a local park for some fun in the sun. We have lots of extended family nearby, too, so there is always a family get-together or activity to do.
Our Extended Family
Brittany is one of eight children, with three biological siblings and four adopted siblings. Her extended family is large and very diverse, with two cousins and one aunt originating in different cultures than our own, all through the blessing of adoption. We are very close-knit and get together on a weekly basis. Adam is the youngest of four children. He comes from a very hard-working family, with two older brothers and one older sister.
Our favorite thing to do is to head out to high school sports that Brittany’s siblings are apart of. We also love to eat: on a weekly basis, all 21 of us go out for pizza and catch up on each other’s week! As a family, we enjoy outdoor activities and traveling to Wyoming to see the beautiful sites. We also love to take trips to Disney as a family and see our kids and their cousins’ eyes light up as they watch the castle fireworks!
Both of our families are extremely supportive of our adoption journey and very excited to welcome a new family member! Your baby will be loved by all.
What Led Us To Adoption
Adoption has always been a part of our lives. Brittany was blessed to be a part of the adoption process with her four younger siblings, who were adopted by her parents. God has now given us the ability to continue to grow our family through adoption. We have always known we would adopt and we know this is the right time for our family. The passing of Brittany’s youngest adopted sister was a defining moment for us because we feel that she has been our guardian angel, leading us down the path of adoption. Adoption is apart of who we are; it’s an amazing blessing that has created our family.
