Dear Expectant Mother,
We know the decision you are making takes a lot of love, courage, and strength. We are in awe of you. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We want you to know that if you choose us, your son or daughter will be unconditionally loved, supported, and protected. His or her life will be filled with laughter, music, adventures, learning, travel, and a large extended family that adores him or her. Your baby will always know that he or she is loved above all else. Your child will have people surrounding him or her who know what it feels like to be adopted and can show them how awesome it is. We will teach them to live freely and love wholly. If you choose us, we will protect the gift you are giving, with all we are.
Thank you for taking the time to view our profile. We would feel blessed and honored if you would consider choosing us. We would be thrilled to show you a part of our world, and let you get to know us better. We offer you our thoughts and prayers as you make your decision and continue on this journey.
We are a fun-loving couple who enjoys playing games, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with our family. We met almost ten years ago at a friend’s birthday party, and we quickly became best friends. A year later we began dating and have now been married for five years. Chris works for the railroad as a Carman. Amanda works as an accountant at an aviation company. We like to go camping as often as possible. Traveling is also a hobby of ours, and we try to take trips annually with our friends or family. Amanda enjoys running, reading, and baking. Chris likes to ride his motorcycle, go fishing, and grill out. We often get together with extended family or friends to play card games and have a meal.
We live in a three-bedroom, three-bathroom split-level home with our dog, Harley. Harley is an eight-year-old Yellow Lab who has never met anyone he did not love. We have a fenced-in backyard with a large patio and plenty of room to play. Our neighborhood is family-friendly, and Chris’ parents live only a few blocks away. There are over six parks within a mile of our home. The school system in our town is one of the best in the state, and we are within walking distance to an elementary school, middle school, and high school. There are lots of activities nearby as well, including a bowling alley, the zoo, a swimming pool, and various sports fields.
Our Extended Family
Chris’ family includes his parents, Dave and Georgia, and his brother Jon. He also has an aunt and cousins that live close enough to visit for holidays and special events. We see Chris’ parents a few times a week and often trade who will be cooking dinner. We enjoy traveling with them or just sitting in the backyard at the fire pit. Each year, on Memorial Day, we head back to Georgia’s hometown, a couple hours away, and visit the farm she grew up on.
Amanda’s family includes her parents, Curt and Becky, as well as two younger brothers, Mike and Matt. Mike is married to Holly and they have two boys. Matt has just recently graduated college. We get together as often as possible to play cards and watch sporting events. We have recently started a tradition of meeting up to run 5k’s as a family. We even have team shirts! Amanda, Mike, and Matt are very close friends and talk often over the phone when it is not possible to get together.
We are extremely lucky that our families get along so well. We have traveled with both families for vacations and we share meals when everyone is in one place.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always known we wanted to have a family. Adoption has been something we have been considering since we got married. After struggling with infertility for many years, we made the decision to start the adoption process to grow our family. Chris and his brother, Jon, were both adopted as newborns, so our family knows the blessing that comes from adoption. We also have good friends that have recently adopted. We have had the opportunity to watch as their dreams came true. Our parents, siblings, and friends are excited to welcome a new member into our family.
