Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for considering us as possible adoptive parents for your child. We admire your bravery and selflessness at such a difficult time. We hope through this profile that you can get to know us, and that, should you choose adoption, you will know how much we will truly love, protect, and support your child.
We imagine this must be a very difficult choice to make. We know you are doing what you believe is best for your child and his or her future. Please know, should you choose to select us as your child’s adoptive parents, we will do everything in our power, to make sure your child has all the love, faith, education, opportunities, and support that he or she will ever need.
We understand that this is a long and emotional process for you. We would like to be there every step of the way to support you any way we can. We have great respect for you for making this decision. We promise when speaking to your child about you, his or her birthmother, that we will speak with respect, admiration, and love. Thank you so much for taking the time to consider us as a possible family to raise your precious baby.
We met through a mutual friend in high school, and we immediately became the best of friends. After nine years of dating, we were married, surrounded by family and friends on one of the best days of our lives. We still love to make each other laugh, and together we try to find the bright side of every situation.
We love watching our recorded TV shows together when our son is asleep, going to the movies, and relaxing with our family and close friends. We are also annual Disneyland pass holders and we go frequently with friends, family, and our son Sammy. He loves The Happiest Place on Earth as much as we do!
Our family home has been in Daniel’s family since 1963. It’s a single story house with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It’s located in a suburban neighborhood filled with lots families and children of all ages. We are in one of the best school districts in our area. Within walking distance from our home are top-rated schools, parks, churches, and restaurants. We are also only a mile away from the pier and a beautiful stretch of three beaches.
We adore our pets too! They are people- and pet-friendly, and love playing in our big backyard. Buddy is our 13-year-old Dachshund, and our Goldendoodle puppy is named Duke. Both have different ideas of what is fun at the moment, but they both enjoy playing with Sammy and our two-year-old niece.
Our Extended Family
Both of us come from very close-knit families. Dan’s parents live with us. It was very important for us to build the house to accommodate our big family. We built two separate master suites so we would all have our own space and still have family dinners every night. It is important to us to show our son that family is always there for loved ones.
During the holidays, Dan and Ashley’s families celebrate together at our house. Christmas is our favorite holiday. We love decorating the house, baking cookies, visiting Santa when he drives down our street every year. Our son wears Christmas pajamas to bed on Christmas Eve so he can wear them to open his presents on Christmas morning.
We celebrate many other holidays as well, and the best part is watching Sammy and his cousin play and enjoy the traditions together. We would love to share these traditions with your baby as well!
What Led Us To Adoption
We always dreamed of having a large family with children running around us as we watch them grow. Almost immediately following our wedding we started trying to have kids. After seeking the help of an infertility specialist, and later a total hysterectomy, our chances of conceiving ended. However, it did not lessen our desire to raise children.
We adopted our son when he was two years old. He’s the light of our lives and we would like to share the same love with another child. We missed getting to hold our son as a baby and are very much looking forward to experiencing that precious phase one day. Our son is also hoping to welcome a sibling into our home. He asks about when he will be getting a brother or sister all the time.
