Dear Expectant Mother,
We want you to know how much we admire your strength and selflessness during this challenging time. We truly appreciate the love and courage it takes for you to make such a decision. Your child is a precious blessing. Regardless of whom you choose to adopt your baby, please know that you are in our thoughts, and we hope that you can find peace as you go through your journey.
Please know that your child will be very much loved and cared for and will receive rich life experiences as well as all the guidance he or she needs to become a loving, independent, compassionate, and well-balanced human being. If we should be so lucky as to be the adoptive family of your precious baby, we promise to always remember the beautiful decision and sacrifice you have made and will feel honored to be part of your life’s journey. Your child will be loved unconditionally by us and our family forever.
Our story began in 2012 while we were both stationed in Georgia. Early on in our relationship, we were over 600 miles apart because of work. However, the strong bond we have with each other helped us overcome the distance and challenges. We celebrate each other’s successes and support each other when things don’t go as planned. We love and cherish our time together as we learn and grow together. Duc transitioned from military to a civilian to pursue his educational goal of becoming a physician. Duc now attends a university School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dominic is still serving in the U.S. Army, with over 17 years of service. Dominic has been selected for the rank of E7 promotion for his accomplishments, merit, and professionalism as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.
We live in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood on the edge of a cul-de-sac off of a lake community in North Carolina. Together, we have restored and remodeled our home. We enjoy working in our garden to bring fresh vegetables to the table. There are many food, art, and music festivals downtown, and we enjoy the beauty and peace of the outdoors with weekend getaways of hiking, kayaking, camping, and beach trips. When we are not outdoors, we enjoy board games, movie nights, and sharing love and laughter with friends and family over home-cooked meals. We have three dogs: Anke, Dirty, and Steve. We hope to share the joy, love, and responsibility of raising a dog with your precious gift.
Our Extended Family
Dom is from an Italian family, where family is extremely important. Dom’s family all live in Delaware: his mother, father, sister, brother, aunt and uncle, two cousins, and seven nieces and nephews. We spend either Thanksgiving or Christmas every year with Dom’s family.
Duc’s family consists of his mother, father, two sets of aunts and uncles, and two cousins all living in California. His family is originally from Vietnam, where family is an important aspect of life. Duc is extremely close with his family even though they live across the country. He is in contact with them weekly, if not daily.
Although we both came from different ethnic backgrounds, we were raised very similarly. We both share a similar humble upbringing and were taught to trust the power of hard work, to own our failures, and that achieving huge life goals starts with one small step. We are so blessed to have a huge supportive family that is as excited as we are to grow our family through adoption.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have both dreamed of being parents since long before we ever met each other. Once we began our lives together, we knew right away adoption was the right choice for us to extend our family. With your unselfish gift, starting our journey of becoming parents through adoption will truly be a blessing and dream come true for both of us.
