We know by now that you've probably read numerous profiles, and it doesn't make your decision any easier, having to pick one out of so many great prospective parents. We want you to make the decision that you feel in your heart is the right one.
We want to start by thanking you for taking the time to get to know us a little better. We hope the information we have given will calm any worries you have. We can't say we can relate to all the emotions you're going through right now, but we can relate to some, this is a new journey for us as well. Writing this letter to you, not even knowing who you are is probably one of the hardest things we would ever write.
If given the chance to show you the parents we are meant to be, we will fulfill any hopes you may be wanting for your child. We will make sure to provide your child with days full of laughter, years full of happiness, and a life full of love. The gift you could give us, is the greatest, most selfless gift anyone could ask for.
Thank you again for reading a little about us, and we look forward to getting to know a little about you, if given the opportunity.
Frank and I met in 2011 through an online dating website, and although were both nervous at first, once we met and spent time together we knew we were meant for each other. Over the last 6 years, that thought couldn't be more right and we have been inseparable since. Together we enjoy being with friends and family as well as creating new memories together, whether it be traveling to new places, relaxing at the beach, experiencing new restaurants, or going to the movies. We are both dedicated to our jobs as I work for an educational supply company with a small baking business on the side, and Frank is a commercial construction project manager. Although we work hard, we have been able to find a healthy work/life balance that works for us.
Frank and I recently moved into a new 4 bedroom colonial home in a suburb just outside of Philadelphia. It is located in a cul-de-sac in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood. We have done some major renovations to the inside of the house, and we are very proud of how it is coming together. Our house is located on a half acre of land, which is plenty of space for us to play with our two dogs. One of our dogs is a 5 year old Shepard mix and the other is a 4 year old Labrador mix, both of which are loving, gentle and obedient dogs that behave well around our family and friends, including little children.
Our Extended Family
Family, for us, plays a big role in living a happy life. Not just blood related, but friends and people we see on a daily basis, are who we consider family. Corey is the middle of three children, and already has a little niece and nephew. And although Frank is an only child, his cousins have taken the place of sibling when they were growing up. We love spending as much time as we can with the little ones in our lives, going on backyard camping trips, taking vacations together, or just going to get ice cream.
Aside from seeing most of our families at birthday parties and picnics throughout the year, we always take turns hosting major holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving. That's the one time of year when everyone travels from all around so we can be together and celebrate as a family.
What Led Us To Adoption
We both have always known we wanted to be dads and have been wanting to start our family since we moved into our new home. We surround ourselves with family and friends, and once we shared the news with them we wanted start a family of our own, the support was overwhelming. We looked into all of our options like surrogacy and fostering, but decided adoption was the right path for us to grow our family.
