It was an epic race to the front door … Greg won, locking Bill outside and leaving him with a thought and a smile, “If this is anything like raising a child, then sign me up.” The truth is we’ve each had many moments like this in our nearly ten years together. Becoming parents and sharing these impromptu moments with a child has always been a dream for us, and we feel blessed for the consideration and opportunity to provide your child with a loving, caring, and fun filled home.
Now that we know what we were waiting for, we know that we were supposed to wait and meet you. We chose adoption as a way to share our love with an expectant mother, and truly respect the energy and emotion it must take towards making this decision. Our family and friends are also committed to offer their support and share in this experience as well. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and ours is ready and waiting with open arms.
Although there are many unknowns in this process and in life, the one thing we know for certain is that we will love your child unconditionally. We promise to always be your child’s best advocate and number one cheerleader in life. We will stand by their side and guide them through life’s obstacles with encouragement and support, and will forever love and cherish your amazing gift to this world.
Reading letters and looking at pictures will never fully depict the life your child will have with us, which is why we look forward to speaking and hopefully meeting you to answer your questions and fill in the blanks. We admire your courage, strength and trust, and look forward to connecting.
In 2007, while on Myspace I stumbled across Bill’s profile and said hello and he said hi back; the rest is history. We share a terrific relationship and together are able to meet at a point of mutual understanding, common ground and agreement. At work, we are both professionals and celebrate achievements as we lead and develop individuals and small teams to be the best they can be. Away from our jobs, extended family and friends we enjoy traveling, skiing, attending Broadway shows, soaking up the sun at the beach or curled up watching Netflix.
Our home is nestled in a quaint New England coastal town. We have a beautiful 110 year old four bedroom colonial home that provides an abundance of character and charm. Within a quick stroller ride, there are several parks and playgrounds, a wide variety of cultural attractions, and no shortage of friendly faces. While at work, our indoor cats Snow and Gatsby rule the roost.
Our Extended Family
Our immediate and extended family spans the United States and allows us a great opportunity to visit new places and deepen our family bonds. Greg’s dad and stepmom retired to Arizona a couple of years ago and since then we have enjoyed traveling west. When Bill’s sister and brother come from out of state to visit with their kids, our home is filled with children laughing and playing. While many of our family members moved to new states, both my mom, Bill’s mom and dad, and my sister remain nearby and active in celebrating and creating new traditions.
We enjoy entertaining our family and friends in our home throughout all four seasons. Whether that be ringing in the New Year huddled around a fire pit and launching Chinese lanterns or summer BBQ’s; our home glows with the love we share for one another and our family and friends.
What Led Us To Adoption
Adoption requires an unconditional love and in this way, we have been inspired to fulfill our dreams to parent a child. While starting the process towards adoption, the news and updates we share with family and friends is celebrated with the utmost joy and support. By no means are we perfect, however, through our principled and complementing personalities we will affectionately build a family where each member is supported and cheered to be the best they can be. With the unwavering love and support of our family and friends we will look forward to the wisdom shared on how to focus on our family and relationship.
