We are grateful that you are considering us to be parents for your baby. When we think of your decision in sharing your child with us, we can’t begin to imagine how difficult this is for you. Is this the right couple for my child? Will my child grow up in a home full of unconditional love and support? Will my child know that my decision was an act of incredible courage and love? We can promise you the answers to all of these questions will be YES!
Through getting to know us, we hope you will see we will be great fathers to your child. We believe fatherhood begins with unconditional love, modeling upright character, creating a curiosity in our world, and a driven desire to serve and help others. At the appropriate time in the child’s development, we will share your story and the courageous decision you made in sharing your child with us. They will always have a part of you in their hearts.
We want to provide your child with lots of laughs and experiences. We promise to love unconditionally, protect, and care for your child. We promise to be someone they can lean on during the bad times and to be their biggest cheerleaders throughout life.
We thank you for trusting us on this journey with you through parenthood. We are excited to meet you and learn about your dreams and hopes.
Erik was adopted at birth and spent his first year living in Pennsylvania, until his parents moved him and his family to Texas for a new job and warmer temperatures! Greg was born and raised in Central Florida, until he moved to Tennessee to attend college. Greg’s parents divorced when he was at a young age, but he was able to spend a lot of time with them growing up. We both came from families with limited resources, but they provided us with unconditional love. Both of us were first generation college students, and we both also received a Master’s Degree. We have a strong passion for aerospace, which led us to our careers. We met on a flight from Atlanta to Washington, which turned out to be “love at first flight!” Seven years later, we said our “I do’s!”
We live in a beautiful 28- home neighborhood, where many of our neighbors have become our closest friends. Everyone babysits each other’s kids and pets, and we all help each other out. Our house sits on roughly two acres of land, with 2,800 sq. ft. of living area consisting of four bedrooms and three baths. We are blessed to have great schools in our school district, all of them being in the top 10% throughout the state of Georgia. We are close to several attractions, parks, historical sites, and cultural enrichment venues to enjoy with our future family.
Our Extended Family
Although we come from small families, they are a big part of our lives and have been a foundation in our marriage. We talk to our immediate families every day, and they have been great support systems to the both of us over the years. Our most cherished family memories growing up involve gathering and spending time with each other over the holidays. We would all help prepare the holiday feast, play games, and celebrate the day. Sharing the love, joy, and company with our families over the holidays not only created new experiences for both of us, but gave us a greater understanding of the importance of family.
Together, we have established several traditions throughout the year. One of our favorites is our annual New York City Christmas Trip. Every year, we travel up to the “Big Apple” to celebrate the holiday season. We see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, a few shows, and enjoy the excitement of the holidays in New York City! We also enjoy taking a yearly cruise to visit the islands! We can promise you that your child will be well traveled and gain an appreciation for the world around them!
What Led Us To Adoption
Our adoption story wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for you. We have wanted to become parents since the beginning of our relationship, in 2008. With our love for each other, and our faith in God, we believe the opportunity to adopt is the greatest gift we could provide your child. As Erik was adopted into a nurturing family, we both appreciate the values of love, courage, and commitment everyone has in this gift from one family to another. You are part of our adoption story, and we want to ensure you that your child will be loved, cared for, and provided every opportunity to reach their full potential.
