Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We want to express our respect for your and your consideration of adoption. We know that you are making a very difficult decision out of love, and we are forever grateful to you and want you to know that as prospective parents, our goal for your child is to provide unconditional love and a loving home filled with laughter and security and care from our extended family.
We want to assure you that we have not made our decision to adopt light-heartedly. We both believe parenting and having a balanced family unit is the most important part of every child’s life while growing up. We’ve made a promise throughout this journey to care for your child, to create an exceptional family structure, and to be the best adoptive parents possible. We promise to greet your child with open arms and a warm smile each and every morning; provide your child with exciting, fun and challenging learning activities each and every day; to encourage the play and magic of your child's imagination; and to listen to your child, laugh with your child, and appreciate all the many wonders your child will bestow as he or she grows into adulthood.
We are very grateful to be a part of this journey with you.
El is a mechanical engineer who enjoys working around the house and volunteering for charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and UNICEF, and Jason is an aeronautical engineer who loves sports and the outdoors: deep sea diving, playing tennis, and more! Our greatest desire since we met ten years ago was to have a family, and we’re grateful that our destiny has led us to adoption. A family is so important to us, and we realize that our DNA isn’t the only way to have a family, but love, respect, and healthy relationships. We laugh, play, and travel together around the world. We like to watch movies together, and sometimes we're lazy and stay in bed all day. Every day, we simply try to love each other and support each other to the best of our abilities.
We live in a gorgeous, recently renovated, four-bedroom home in Texas. Our home is located in a friendly community with amazing families and great neighbors and amenities. We have roughly 3200 square feet of living space, with lovely hardwoods and formal living and dining. Aside from our master bedroom, we have two lovely rooms upstairs which we want to dedicate to one or two special little ones, along with a game room, media room, and a great backyard for playing, picnicking, and family time with our dog, Lucky.
Our Extended Family
Family is an essential part of our lives, a title given to those we hold dearly to our hearts. We extend it to those who come into our lives and, no matter what, seem to stay. Together, we have a family of roughly 143 members, made up of aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, and sisters. El alone has sixteen brothers and sisters!
We have many family traditions, too. Each year, we all gather at our grandparents’ home in Mauritius for our annual reunion. On Thanksgiving, we get some friends and family over to our home to cook, eat, and enjoy each other’s company. Once a year, Jason's mom and dad will plan a tropical vacation trip so we can relax and unwind.
We’re fortunate and blessed to have both sets of our families interacting and relating as a single unit. We spend a lot of time together, and our families plan holidays and trips throughout the year. Our family is our foundation of support, personal cheer squad, teachers, counselors, and anything else we might need.
What Led Us To Adoption
We’ve always wanted to have a family and to provide a child with a loving home. Unfortunately, we aren't able to have a child together naturally, and we have agreed that adding a child to our home through adoption is the right thing to do. We became very motivated to adopt by learning about the process from one of our friends who was adopted and who has also adopted a child. After learning about the process, it sparked a desire within us to adopt and provide a home for a sweet little child we can love and support.
