Dear Expectant Mother,
This is the part where we both start to shed tears before we can even begin this letter to you. How do we begin to thank you for considering us as the adoptive parents?
What we can promise you is that we will be extraordinarily devoted, caring, loving and nurturing to your baby. We will forever be grateful to you and carry you in our hearts. Your baby will be adored and cherished by us from the moment you select us, through your pregnancy, once born and for every single minute of that child’s life.
In having chosen us, we are committed to honoring you as the birthmother who choose us to take care of your baby, and will ensure that this baby knows where they came from, their background, and encourage healthy communication during their life. Your baby’s milestones will always remind us of you and take us back to the moment you chose us as adoptive parents.
We’ve both held the value that being open and honest with a child, from the beginning, is most important in establishing who they are, their identity, and where they come from.
Words cannot express how truly grateful we are that you have looked at our profile, and we commend you for your strength during what must be an incredibly difficult process.
We met over 12 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. Both of us are extremely loyal, devoted, caring, and compassionate women who share the same values in life and adore our family.
Jenny was a Registered Nurse for almost 10 years. Mel is an attorney who practiced corporate law for over 10 years before pursuing a career in marketing and corporate development. Now, we both work from home in our respective careers, which gives us a flexible schedule and allows us to spend more time with our son and one another.
We enjoy family time, road trips, vacations to sunny and snowy destinations, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, LegoLand, and embracing life as an adventure.
Our home is in beautiful Central Texas amongst the tree-covered rolling hills and close to lakes and rivers. Nearby, we have hiking trails, open land, parks, soccer and baseball fields, and numerous local activities and family events.
We have two dogs, poodle and spaniel mixes, and they adore our son. They are almost two years old, and we’ve had them since a few months old. Thye are the sweetest dogs. In the future, we would love to adopt more animals and would have a small farm of various rescue animals if we could!
Our Extended Family
Mel’s family is in Southern California and we often have gatherings around holidays such as Easter and Christmas. We also get together for birthday celebrations and enjoy throwing big, fun-filled events for birthdays where we make it all about the kids with themed costume characters, balloon artists, face painting, bubble makers, bounce houses and plenty of delicious desserts!
We believe in celebrating children’s birthdays, because it took us so long to become a family and he is a miracle.
Around the holidays, Jenny likes to serve up a buffet of food and bake special treats, even though she may not be the best cook around! Mel decorates our home for the holidays and our son even participates in the décor with his homemade arts and crafts.
Jenny’s family lives in Northern California, about a three-hour flight away. We often visit, and Jenny remains close with former co-worker nurses, too. They are like family to Jenny, and we enjoy seeing them.
When extended family and friends visit, we take them to numerous local attractions, restaurants, museums and fun kids’ places.
What Led Us To Adoption
Since we first met, adoption was always something we both wanted to do. We feel so blessed and are eager to welcome another child into our loving home. Our son is more eager than ever and constantly asks when he can help take care of the baby. He’s been waiting for a brother or sister for quite some time now. He talks about his hopes and dreams of playing and showing a sibling how to do things like jump, slide, color and build Legos.
