Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you so much for taking your time to review our profile and learn about us. We can only imagine how difficult this decision must be, and we respect the process you must be going through to choose the best life for your baby. We are so grateful for your consideration of us as parents, and we hope to ease your heart and mind.
As a couple, we believe in honesty and gentleness. We face challenges together with strong communication, and we solve problems in a way that works for everyone. We believe in settling disagreements calmly. Most importantly, we love each other deeply, and we are eager to share that love with a child.
If you choose us as parents, your child will grow up in a home full of love and learning and having fun, and we will encourage him or her to be themselves fully. He or she will be free to follow their dreams. We believe we have a lot to offer your child, and we’re excited to give your baby every advantage. Thank you, again, for getting to know a little about us. We can’t wait to get to know you.
We have been together for eleven years, having met through a college friend, and we’ve been married for nine of those years. Kate is a business intelligence analyst at a non-profit healthcare system, and she enjoys reading, hiking, playing with our dog, Penelope, and drinking coffee. Jessica works as a mental health therapist, and she loves music and going to concerts, especially the outdoor festivals that happen around our city. She enjoys reading and playing video games, and watching and playing tennis regularly, which she has done since she was ten years old. Together, we love going on adventures or just staying in; as long as our time is spent in each other’s company.
We live in a three-bedroom townhouse in a quiet community in the suburbs. Our neighbors are families like us, and we love going for walks to enjoy the morning, afternoon, and evening air. We have two cats, Shades and Perry, and one dog, Penelope, who are our worlds, and all of whom were adopted. We like to sit and read, or fill the home with the smell of cooking, and there is no time when our home isn’t warm and welcoming to family and friends.
Our Extended Family
We love to get together with Jessica’s sisters and their families for Christmas, to share our meal and exchange presents. We also have a family reunion with extended family (everyone from great-grandparents down!) every Fourth of July, where we grill, shoot fireworks, and spend all day sitting and talking. The Reunion even has two tournaments, one for Cornhole and one for Spades, which Jessica coordinates. As you can imagine, getting roughly 60 people of all ages to focus on where they need to be and when is quite a task!
Besides biological family, we are also very close with Kate’s best friend and her family. She and Kate have been best friends since college, and they consider themselves sisters. This family has two children, who are both homeschooled, like Kate was. We love hanging out with them every Friday night, celebrating birthdays and holidays together, and attending their special events, like baseball games and performances.
What Led Us To Adoption
Ever since we married, it’s been our dream to raise children. We have always been around children, whether through our family, our friends, or jobs that we have had. We have enjoyed talking with and teaching and learning the interests and joys of children, which has also made us want to have children in our family. We both value community and helping others, so adoption feels like a great fit for us, and more than anything we just want to welcome a child into our home and our hearts.
