Dear Expectant Mother,
Words cannot express our gratitude for taking the time to read our letter and considering adoption for your baby. We are finding it challenging to find the right words that will spark your interest in taking the next steps with us. The reality is that writing this letter is not as easy when you consider the amount of trust it takes to let others care for your child. It takes courage, strength, and selflessness; we admire you and are humbled you may allow us to become parents.
We don’t know what series of events caused our paths to cross in this way. There is no way we could ever fully grasp the weight of the circumstances that led you to us, and we are overjoyed to be here with you now. Years of waiting for a child have built up an enormous amount of love in our home, and we cannot wait to share that love with this miracle child. We want a child to adventure with, to show the wonders of the world, and to raise to be a wonderful and loving human being.
If you decide that we are the best decision to be the parents to your child, we promise to raise your child in a home full of love, where they are given the freedom to become the person they choose to be with our support every day!
We met online in 2005 and met in person soon after. The minute our eyes met, we knew our love was undeniable. We have lived together since 2007 and recently got married in April of 2019. We have built our relationship on trust, love, and commitment. Since the beginning of our relationship, we knew we wanted to adopt. We both grew up in small rural towns in Tennessee. Justin spent some time working as an operations supervisor at a chemical plant. Following his dreams, he now spends his days working as a railroad conductor. Tommy has pursued his passion of helping others and uses his natural ability to care for others in his role as a registered nurse.
We currently live in an upscale community in Tennessee. Our home has three bedrooms and three baths with a large fenced-in back yard. Our neighborhood is full of children who spend their afternoons playing outside and enjoying the community playground. There is an elementary school three blocks from our home as well as several parks, greenways, swimming pools, movie theaters, and shopping malls to visit. We have one dog, named Smokey. He loves to chase squirrels and play ball. Our dog is very special in our lives. We hope one day your baby will be able to choose his or her own dog to grow up with.
Our Extended Family
We both have large extended families that all live in Tennessee. Most of our treasured and enjoyable pastimes are spent with our nieces and nephews! Justin has two married older brothers, with seven nieces and nephews and a great-nephew. Tommy has a married older brother and married younger twin sisters, with nine nieces and nephews and a great-nephew and two great-nieces. Justin’s mom and Tommy’s mom and dad are excited for the new addition as well.
Family is extremely important to us! Our close bonds with our families is a huge part of who we are. Both of our families live close by, so we get to have family dinners and visit regularly. We get together often to celebrate birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all of the other holidays. Our families cannot wait for your baby to be the newest member of our family to provide unconditional love, support, and guidance for all of his or her days!
What Led Us To Adoption
We have talked about adoption from the very beginning of our relationship. After weighing all of our options, we ultimately decided adoption was the best choice for us. Not only is adoption going to give us a child to love but a mother and friend to love as well. We are open to any kind of adoption (open, semi-open, or closed) and look forward to welcoming both you and your baby into our family.
