Dear Expectant Mother,
I’ll consider it the greatest honor and responsibility of my life to raise your child. I know you want the best for your child; that’s why you have chosen this path, and I will do whatever it takes to make your dreams, and theirs, come true.
I am a Christian, and I will raise your child as one. I also love the arts and traveling; so, when your baby grows up, I’ll make sure he or she not only has a great education, but that they travel to fun places and learn about the world.
I will encourage creativity from a very young age. I’ll sing to your baby and read lots of books. I’ll spend so much time playing, too. My whole life and worldly goods will be dedicated to your child, and I assure you my extended family feels the same. My sister has raised three children, and she has already agreed to be the godmother to your child. I will love and protect your child, and I assure you I can handle tough circumstances; that is what I do for a living.
I am a criminal defense attorney with a successful practice in a major metropolitan city. I am fortunate to have my own legal practice, which gives me the flexibility to set my own schedule. Originally, I’m from a small town and have a very close-knit family and circle of friends. My small-town values serve me well, in that I’m a very loyal person who appreciates life’s real treasures: loving relationships with good people and making a difference in the lives of others.
Quality time with the ones I love is the most important thing to me, and I can’t wait to spend time with a child after getting home from work.
I live in a beautiful and very safe neighborhood. We have lots of families with small children, and our streets are quiet and lined with trees. The neighborhood throws a big Halloween party for the kids each year: we have a costume contest, parade, and haunted house. The neighborhood goes all-out to decorate for the occasion! I love to decorate my home for all of the holidays and am in love with my backyard. It has lots of space for running and playing, and just the right space for a swing-set.
My Extended Family
I have a close relationship with my parents, sister, and my nephews. To get to my parents’ house, it’s just a drive that’s a couple of hours along some pretty country roads! It’s a real “Grandma and Grandpa’s House,” with all of the tradition and love to go with it. My mom and dad can’t wait to set up the nursery for when we visit.
My parents have real, old-fashioned values. Nothing needed is ever gone without, and love and kindness overflow in their home. I can’t wait to make hot chocolate with Grandpa and sit on the back porch, listening to the night as he smiles and bounces the baby on his knee. Grandma will make her famous dishes when the little one is a little older, and, until then, she’ll dote on the baby and beam with joy! My mom is a retired elementary principal and my dad just retired from teaching history at a local university, so education is very important in our family. I can promise the best education will be given any child I’m lucky enough to be given the chance to adopt.
What Led Me To Adoption
I have always known of the great joy adoption can bring to a family. You see, my cousin was adopted as an infant. She and I grew up together and played often, spending every holiday together. My aunt and uncle love her more than anything; she’s such a bright, sweet, and pretty little girl. Being four years younger than me, she also saw me as a big sister and followed me around everywhere! Now, I’m hoping to be given this amazing gift of adopting a special bundle of joy and starting my own family; I am certain that I know what it takes to give my whole heart and everything I am to your child.
