Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you. We don’t even think words can do justice to how strong and brave we think you are. God has given you this precious gift of grace and courage, and He has also given you the strength to consider us to raise your baby. If you choose us as adoptive parents for your precious child, we want to give you our word that we will love and adore your baby as our own for the rest of our lives. We, along with our family and friends, will teach, guide, love, and motivate your baby to the best of our ability. We are looking forward to being parents. We will tell your child that we love him or her every day. We will give your child daily hugs and kisses. We will also tell your child that you love him or her every day if those are your wishes. Thank you for being strong, brave, and kind. Thank you for considering us.
We have a happy marriage full of laughter and fun. We both love to fish and explore the outdoors. We both love the outdoors and believe in conservation. Katherine enjoys sitting on the dock, swimming, learning to bake, and watching TV. We enjoy watching certain shows together, grilling, cooking, fishing, and just relaxing together as well. We both have very strong ties to our families and enjoy spending time with them. And yes, we each get along with each other’s in-laws!
We live in a small dirt-road neighborhood on a beautiful lake. It is quiet all year long. Our house has a large yard where we play kickball, croquet, cornhole, and many other outdoor games. Then when it gets too hot, we jump in the lake for a swim. We love to simply float on the lake or go boating. It is a safe neighborhood with hardly any traffic. We have three fur babies. They are all dogs: Fred (a Chocolate Lab), Bobo (a French Bulldog), and Gus (a Jack Russell).
Our Extended Family
We both have extremely loving and gracious parents. Jeremy’s parents have been married for 38 years. Jeremy is the oldest and his sister is three years younger than him. Jeremy grew up and farmed with his grandfather.
Katherine’s parents have been married for 48 years. They were middle school sweethearts. Katherine has one older sister. She is married and together they have two nieces. They are sweet and kind girls.
Our holiday traditions are simple but wonderful. At Thanksgiving, everyone comes to our house (both sides), and we enjoy time together. We eat lots of food. Everyone stays in their pajamas until it is time to eat. Christmas is a little more hectic. We travel to Katherine’s sister’s house so that we can experience Santa. Then the day after Christmas, we travel to Jeremy’s parents to spend a few days with them. The holidays are a relaxing and happy time with our family.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have watched others in our circle of friends who have adopted and have wonderful loving families, and we just feel God has called us to do the same. We have not prevented natural pregnancy but have not helped it along either. We discussed adoption with friends and family and it just makes us all extremely happy. We are meant to be parents.
