Thank you for spending a few moments reading our profile today! First, we want you to know that wherever this journey takes you, you and your baby will be cherished and regarded as the greatest blessing. We respect you deeply, and are truly inspired by your courage and strength in this act of love. Second, we want you know that we are excited to be parents and have dreamt about this opportunity since we were children. On our very first date, it was one of many topics of discussion, and it brought us closer in knowing that we both wanted to have a family through adoption.
We have been together over 5 years and have built a strong foundation based on love and faith. We truly believe this is what has led us to you, and you to us. Another note about us, is that we are fiercely loyal, and we will be in your corner, and in your child’s corner throughout this process. We already have a place for you and your family in our hearts, and it is full of love to be given.
Our hope is to show you, with 100% honesty, who we are as humans, as a couple, and as future parents. We can promise you, with the utmost certainty, that your child will grow up with a foundation of love and acceptance. They will be surrounded by family and friends who will adore them, just as we will. We cannot wait to get to know you, and be part of this journey.
Thank you for considering us to be parents to the baby growing inside of you.
We have been together since 11/11/11 (our first date), and got engaged on 12/12/12! We married on a perfect summer day in June, 2014. We have a fun and goofy relationship, always singing and dancing around the house together. We both work in the healthcare technology industry. We love going to sporting events, hanging out with family, traveling and being outside as much as possible.
We love dogs! We have two miniature schnauzers that make us laugh daily, and are great cuddle buddies. We live in a cute little neighborhood on the outskirts of the city that is filled with young families. We love hearing the screams and laughs of all our neighbors’ children outside playing together. Less than a five minute walk down the street from our home is a park with soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, a playground and a walking path, which we frequent.
Our Extended Family
While Laura grew up as an only child, Kristen grew up as the oldest of five siblings. Both of us have very large extended families with many, MANY cousins (around 75 total)! Laura’s parents live in the same city as us, and we spend a lot of time with them. We frequently go over to their house, or they come over to ours to hang out, we go to the movies together, to dinner, shopping, and family functions together. They are very supportive of us, and are very involved in our every day lives. Every year on the 4th of July, we get together for a big barbecue feast, and then drive to the country club across the street to watch the massive fireworks show.
Kristen’s dad and step-mom, two sisters and two brothers live within a six hour drive. Kristen’s mom passed away almost 15 years ago. Kristen and her sisters are very close, and try to visit each other as often as possible, and of course, they are very supportive! Holidays are always very lively events when all of us get together! We engage in ugly sweater contests, backyard football games, card games, and cookie decorating.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always had it in our hearts to adopt. When we had discussions about starting a family, we prayed a lot about finding the right path. Both of us have had multiple dreams about adoption, and we know in our hearts that this is what we were meant to do. Adopting a child would bring us a missing piece to our family. We are SO excited to expand our family, and have an additional extended family!
