Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and our desire to have a family of our own. We are thankful that you have considered us to become parents and would be honored to have you become a part of our family as adoptive parents.
We know that you have experienced feelings and emotions that we cannot begin to understand. You are carrying your child and bringing new life into this world, and at the same time you are making such a brave, courageous, and completely selfless decision.
We hope that you know that through this process you will forever be a part of our story because we know that without you, our family would not be complete.
We know that you have hopes and dreams for your child. We want to help them experience life in abundance and find what they are passionate about. Your child will be welcomed by a community of friends and family, and of course, puppy kisses on a daily basis! Our two dogs, Shelby and Cooper, are the most loving puppies you will ever meet, and they will help love on your child every day.
We thank you for believing in us in this time to become a part of our family! We can’t wait to meet you!
We met in 2004 when we were seniors in college at the University of Oklahoma, and our first date was watching college basketball. Lance is a high school teacher and basketball coach. Trevan works in the medical field.
We enjoy spending time at the beach, biking, hiking, watching college basketball and football, and playtime at the park with our dogs. In July 2014, we had our wedding ceremony on the beach in Ponte Vedra, FL surrounded by friends and family.
We live in a peaceful community near the beach with our two Shih Tzu dogs, Shelby who is 11 years old and Cooper who is two years old. Our neighborhood has a large ocean front park where we spend time every day with our dogs.
Our Extended Family
We both grew up in Oklahoma in large families who are mostly involved in education and farming. Because our careers have moved us away from family, Sunday family dinners have become Sunday friend dinners where we host our close friends. We have been fortunate to have an incredible group of friends who have become like family to us.
Our Family Traditions
We host Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners in our home for our friends when we can’t be back with our families where we can help provide a little bit of home for everyone that cannot be with their families during the holidays.
We are also proud uncles to our two nephews and niece who we try to spoil as much as possible! Our family and friends are the most supportive of our soon to be family!
What Led Us To Adoption
Both of us come from large families that are very close. We have been discussing what avenue would be the right path for us in creating our family for the past several years, and we know that through adoption we’ll be able to open our hearts and home to a child that God has entrusted us to care for.
Both of us are lucky to have our grandmothers who are still alive and excited to have another great-grandbaby to spoil!
