We just want you to know how excited and hopeful we are to be considered to raise, care for, and love your baby. We know this must be one of the most difficult decisions for a mother to make. It takes an extraordinarily brave person to consider adoption. We want you to know that, if you choose us as adoptive parents, your baby will be loved in every aspect, unconditionally. We will give him or her every opportunity at happiness and success in life.
We met later in life, and unfortunately having children together is no longer a possibility. We are so fortunate that Sarah has two children from earlier in life. However, Lonnie has never had that opportunity. We want to sincerely thank you for considering us. We will forever be grateful if you do decide to choose us. Our entire family is so excited about this possibility and we are thankful you are taking the time to get to know us.
We would like that thank you in advance for reading our story and giving us an opportunity to share our lives with you. You are an amazing person in our book, and we wish you the very best, regardless of your choice.
We are both originally from Wyoming. Lonnie was transferred for work about two years ago to a new Wyoming town a few hours away. Sarah and the kids picked up and came along for the adventure. We met on a blind dance date. We both like to dance but neither of us had a partner. Our teacher decided to pair us up together and the rest is history. Wyoming is perfect for us because we love the outdoors. Our town is the gateway to the Wind River Mountain Range and Wilderness area. This is the largest wilderness area in the lower US. We spend as much time outside as possible. We love to hike, fish, camp, and backpack. Our two dogs, Oakley and Elmer, really appreciate our outdoor adventures as well.
Our house sits on a little bit of land. We love to garden and seem to expand it every year. We’ve really been contemplating getting two horses as well, but we haven’t done it quite yet. We have two dogs named Oakley and Elmer. They’re both black labs and they are spoiled rotten. They love to chase the ball! We also have two irrigation ditches running through our property and they both seem to find a way to go swimming in them as much as possible. We have a shop as well that has a workout/dance room in it.
Our Extended Family
Lonnie is an only child. His parents live about three hours away in a small lake town. Lonnie is very close with them, atnd we see them quite often, especially during the summer when we want to go play at the lake. They’re both retired and they are lucky enough to be able to spend winters in Arizona. Lonnie has a few cousins that he’s quite close with that live about four hours away as well. Sarah has two brothers and a sister. One of the brothers lives a few hours away and we see him quite often. Her other brother and sister live in Colorado, so we don’t get to see them as often as we’d like too. Sarah has an aunt and uncle a few hours away. We’re able to spend a lot of time with them as well.
What Led Us To Adoption
We are so excited about this journey. Sarah has two wonderful kids from earlier in life. Lonnie never was lucky enough to have that opportunity though. Sarah is no longer able to have children naturally. After considering all of our options, we decided adoption was the path meant for us. Having kids around the house is great and we feel extremely fortunate for them. However, we have always wanted more children, and adoption is the path that excites us both. Our daughter might be more excited than either of us. She’s nine and really wants a younger sibling. She actually wrote some notes for her younger brother or sister already.
