Dear Expectant Mother,
Please know that no matter what decision you make, you’re incredibly brave and courageous. Thank you for considering adoption and taking the time to get to know a little more about us. Our dream has always been to adopt. We can’t wait to have a little one running around in the front yard, swinging and picking blueberries with us. We envision taking him or her to family game nights, pumpkin patches, Easter egg hunts, and teaching them to swim and to plant flowers. Whether it’s camping trips or simply cuddling on the couch for a movie night, we are thrilled to have the chance to be moms.
We have always dreamed of being parents and are so blessed to have you considering giving us that gift. We each place a significant importance on family and are so excited to have the chance to grow our own. Kate’s goofy and caring personality paired with Margot’s unconditionally loving heart and passion for living life to the fullest means your child will certainly never be without adventures filled with laughs and love.
We hope you’ve had a chance to get to know us a bit. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. Wherever your journey takes you, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
We are soulmates, balancing each other out in every way possible. Kate is the goofy one who is a true kid at heart; she can make any situation fun, but is also hard-working and strong-willed. Margot is more serious and organized, but she is also kind-hearted and funny. Together, we bring out the best in one another. We are each other’s biggest fans and always feel at home when we have each other. Both of us value integrity, selflessness, respect, and empowerment, all of which are the foundation of our relationship. Above all else, we love each other endlessly. We met while serving in the Army and had our dream wedding surrounded by our loved ones. Now, two years later, we are settled and ready to share our love with a child.
We live in a small town near Charlotte. Our home sits on six acres total, two of which include our house and backyard. The front yard takes up the other four acres! We look forward to having many adventures with your child: getting our hands dirty and playing games, catching fireflies, making s’mores by the firepit, and swimming in our pool. We have two dogs that we adore, both of which are rescues. Stella is a yellow lab and is so gentle and sweet, and Nala is a small gray pit-mix who is always looking to give and receive affection. Both are great with kids, including our niece, so we know they will make great “big sisters.”
Our Extended Family
Kate has a large extended family, all of whom live within a short driving distance from our home. It’s a fairly typical Southern family, where everyone is up in everyone else’s business, but it’s a good thing! Kate’s sister, her husband, and our niece live just up the road, so we see them all the time. Whether it’s family game night, a trip to the movies, a barbecue, or someone’s birthday, we always have an amazing time. Kate also has a younger brother, and her mom could not be more excited to welcome a new grandbaby into the family.
Margot’s family is smaller but still very tight-knit. They frequently visit us and we plan multiple trips throughout the year to visit them in Chicago and New York. It’s great for us because we get to live the small town life but experience the big cities. Margot’s mom is extremely devoted to both of us and cannot be more excited to be a first-time grandma. Her brother and his soon-to-be wife are always adventuring and are both very passionate about the non-profits they work for. Both of their jobs relate to childhood education and they are both thrilled to be getting a niece or a nephew.
What Led Us To Adoption
We’ve both always known that we wanted to adopt. Margot was adopted as a baby and has always pictured herself adopting as an adult. She has always been very grateful that she was adopted and provided with so many opportunities, and she feels that she will be able to understand and support an adopted child. Kate’s desire to adopt relates to her faith, believing children are where God’s heart is. To be in a place where we are able to care for and love a child is such a blessing. Kate believes God picked Margot for her, and similarly, that He has a child picked to be ours. The whole adoption process is just so remarkably beautiful.
