Marsha & Carrie

Dear Expectant Mother,

What you are considering is the most generous, life-altering, life-completing gift we could ever receive. We cannot imagine how difficult it would be to make a decision of that magnitude. We want you to know that your child will be loved unconditionally, put before all others, and given opportunities to allow him or her to develop into a successful, well-adjusted adult.

We were both raised by the principle of the golden rule, to treat others the way you want to be treated. This is a core belief in all that we do, which we will pass along as parents. We cannot wait to teach math skills learned from calculating sales prices when shopping, performing “transplants” on stuffed animals, reading bedtime stories, and having dance parties like we have done with our niece and nephews.

We cannot wait to play ball in the backyard, go to sporting events, ride our bikes to get ice cream, and play at the beach. We also cannot wait to share the experience of his or her first concert. We cannot wait for him or her to be spoiled by adoring grandparents, aunts, and uncles and to find his or her first best friend in our dogs.

Our family has so much warmth and love to share with a child. Thank you for considering us for your gracious gift.

About Us

contact

We met in the hospital while caring for neurosurgery patients. Carrie is a physician assistant, and Marsha is a clinical pharmacist. We see our work in the healthcare field as a calling but also value our time away from the hospital. As a couple, we are best friends, and we love surprising each other with gifts and fun adventures. We love quality time with just the two of us, and we regularly go to the beach together, spend time with our dogs, and have frequent dinner dates. We take care of each other and are able to pick up where the other leaves off. One of us is shy, and the other is a social butterfly. Together, we make an amazing team.

Our Home

contact

The kitchen is our favorite part of our home. We love to cook with and for one another while listening to music. While one cooks, the other will sit at the counter and pick that evening’s music. We cannot wait to continue this tradition as parents. We have three rescue dogs that bring us so much joy. We love cuddling with our dogs on the couch or throwing a tennis ball in the backyard. We imagine our little one playing in the backyard with the dogs someday. We love outdoor festivals in our neighborhood and are excited to experience that as parents. We live in a beach town, and we’re excited to take family beach trips with the dogs and play in the water.

Our Extended Family

contact

Our parents all have plans to move to the area so they can be closer to their new grandchild. One set have already begun the process, while the other set is waiting for the baby’s arrival. They want to love and spoil him or her just like they have their other grandchildren. Family is the center of our lives, and we cannot wait to have everyone close by. Sports, including MLB and college football and basketball, are a big tradition in our families, and we’re excited to share that with a new member of our family. Summer vacations are an important tradition as well as we love the family bonding that happens during that special time.

What Led Us To Adoption

contact

We are both extremely devoted aunts who are crazy about our nephews and niece. We schedule frequent trips to see them and wish we could be with them all the time. We each have always wanted to be parents. We are so glad we waited until we found our soul mate to truly explore this possibility together. While we could do IVF, our hearts are telling us to be a family for a child who already exists. We have so much love and happiness to offer!
