Dear Expectant Mother,
Our hearts go out to you for all the feelings you are experiencing. Believe us, we understand them more than you know. As foster parents, we have had to send children we loved as our own away when the time came. It was never easy. We have felt the pain of seeing them leave and never having the opportunity to adopt them. God has blessed us with you, and no words can ever express the gratitude we would have if you choose us to be the loving parents of your child. We promise you, your child will always be unconditionally loved. Bedtime stories will be read. Boo-boos will be kissed, and we will hold them close. We will always let them know how precious they are.
It would be a dream come true to have and hold the child we have always prayed for. We are hoping this is finally the time for us to welcome a child into our home. In some ways, we understand and share your pain of wondering if your child is loved and being cared for. With us, you will not have to wonder. We assure you, your child will always know unconditional love.
We are Nichole and Brian, and we've been married for 21 years. We have known one another since our school days, though after high school we went our separate ways. Brian joined the Marines and traveled the world, and Nichole went straight into the workforce. Four years later, we ran into each other and started dating, and a year later we married. Nichole has worked at a national supplier for 22 years, and Brian has worked for the National Guard at a youth academy for over 16 years before starting a new career three years ago working with veterans, helping them with their career benefits. We usually do everything together; if you see one of us, the other isn’t far away!
We have two dogs, Maggie Mae and Bailey Hope; a cat named Tom; and two horses, Jasper and Sisco. We live in a beautiful home in the country, on a whole acre, with a few close neighbors. We have a large fenced-in yard with a swing set and playhouse, and a battery operated truck to drive. We have a pool that kids can enjoy in the hot summer months, and our horses are great with children, so they can ride all year long. It’s a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with those who mean the most.
Our Extended Family
We enjoy spending time with our family. Nichole has a brother, Bryan, who is married with three children; she is also close to her mom and step-dad. We enjoy family dinners and getting together whenever we can, going to the movies, hiking, camping, and staying in cabins at the lake. We also enjoy going to Nichole’s youngest niece’s volleyball games and cheering her on. Nichole’s aunt, Pat, and her son, Mark, come to see us all the time, too, and Pat is like a second mom! Nichole’s best friend, Lorane, and her husband are also like family to us. They can't wait for us to get our forever child and to help in spoiling them!
Brian's uncle, Bob, comes to visit all the time. He and Brian enjoy doing projects of all kinds together. Everyone is so excited for the idea of us adopting; they have supported us over the years during our fostering of all the children that came into our home.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have wanted kids ever since we were married. We tried everything, including fertility treatments. We’ve fostered to adopt for four years, and were close to adopting, too; the last babies we had from birth were going to be adoptable, and it was the happiest two years and three months of our lives. Even though we are happy for them to be reunited with their birth mother, we still have a huge hole in our hearts for a child of our own. We have so much love to give any child that comes into our lives.
