Dear Expectant Mother,
It is by sweet serendipity that our paths have crossed, even though we have dreamed about this moment. What you are doing is the most valiant and selfless act anyone could ever do. You are putting this precious life into someone else’s hands, and we promise to surround your baby with love and protection if you choose us. We truly thank you for opening your heart and mind and taking the time to read about our lives.
Our promise to you is one we would not take lightly. We promise to raise your baby in a loving and supportive home—a home that is a safe space for them to grow and learn. They will be surrounded by many family members and friends to positively influence their life. Be assured that with each day that goes by, we will be eternally grateful for you.
We can only imagine what has led you to make this decision for your baby’s future, but we want you to know that this gift would be our greatest blessing. Your child will be placed first in our lives to ensure they are always well taken care of and happy. Thank you again, and we look forward to what the future holds.
We met online and knew instantly there was a connection. Between the prank wars, belly laughs, movie quotes, and enjoying the simple things in life, our love blossomed. Soon after moving in together, we were planning our wedding with close friends and family. We knew early on we wanted a family and feel so lucky to be on this adoption journey together. During our 9 to 5, Nichole works in human resources, and Maddie is a maintenance manager. In our spare time, we love the outdoors! This includes camping, fishing, kayaking, festivals, and traveling. Maddie’s passion is woodworking and creating anything artistic, while Nichole finds joy in cooking and photography. You can find us relaxing on the porch daily, playing in our plants, and visiting with our neighbors. We have so much love in our lives and cannot wait to surround a child with it!
Our home is one of our favorite places to be. It is in an area that gives us a country feeling but is close to the city, where there are many restaurants, activities for children, great schools, and beautiful Louisiana scenery. Our neighbors and their children are also a big part of the reason why we love our home. “The Village,” as we refer to it, is always looking out for one another and spending quality time together. Last but surely not least, we have so much fun at home spoiling and loving on our two cats, Shorty and NuNu. They can’t wait to be big brothers! Most of all, we feel loved and safe in our home.
Our Extended Family
We are truly grateful for and appreciative of our loving and supportive families. We have so many family members and friends anxiously waiting for us to adopt! We are looking forward to raising a family with an open, loving mind and many traditions.
One of our favorite traditions is Mardi Gras, where we gather with friends and family to watch the parades, catch beads and stuffed animals, and listen to zydeco music. Another favorite is gathering with friends and family to vacation at our favorite fishing camp, where we catch fish and watch the dolphins, pelicans, and beautiful sunsets.
Other traditions of ours are the Texas Renaissance Festival, hayrides on family property for Thanksgiving, giving out candy for Halloween, and making homemade chicken and dumplings on Christmas Eve. Making memories with family is important to us. We can’t wait to continue these traditions and create more with our new addition.
What Led Us To Adoption
Adoption has touched our lives and continues to be a huge part of our lives. Nichole’s sister chose a family to raise her identical twin girls 11 years ago. After watching their story unfold, Nichole knew one day she would adopt when it came time to start a family. Maddie’s long-time friend who has become family to us is adopted. Her sharing her story with us has been such an inspiration. We tried alternate routes to starting a family, but after several unsuccessful attempts and a miscarriage, we took it as a sign that the adoption journey was exactly where we needed to be!
