dear expectant mother

We know you are considering making a very brave, selfless decision. Picking a family to lovingly raise your child is an immense responsibility, but it is one we hope to share with you. We have both always wanted to be mothers and knew our path to parenthood could be a winding road. We have chosen adoption enthusiastically. We are ready and willing to give everything we have to our child. We consider it a great honor and blessing to be able to open our hearts to your baby. We are so very grateful you would consider us to raise your baby in our home. We know parenthood is an enormous responsibility, and it is one we are ready for.

We are so looking forward to being parents, and our families are very excited to welcome a new member. We cannot wait to create memories with our whole family, watching the first snowflakes fall in winter, going swimming in the lake, picking pumpkins at the local patch for Halloween, and watching our child explore the wonders the world has to offer. We want to give our child, your child, every opportunity to grow and thrive, and we promise to provide a family full of love and acceptance.

About Us

We are best friends and still deeply in love after ten years together. Oriana is an incredibly friendly person, a true child at heart, and a self-described nerd. She plays video games and board games and enjoys roller derby. She makes friends with everyone she meets and loves them fiercely. Oriana is the logistics manager for a local manufacturer. Colleen is confident and funny and loves to cook, craft, and garden. She is more of a homebody and loves hosting parties and backyard barbeques. She works as a retail manager. We met at the end of college and immediately clicked. We share a love of adventures, sports, art, and desserts and appreciate that our differences create a great balance in our relationship. We have been through plenty of changes in our lives over the last decade, and we know that together, we can do anything.

Our Home

We have a two-story home with a finished basement on a quiet street in town, with a fenced-in backyard for our two small rescue dogs to run around in. They are both incredibly smart and playful and love company of all ages! Oriana loves to spend time in the cozy basement, where she has her video games, puzzles, and Lego sets as well as a small gym. Colleen keeps a large garden with lots of flowers and berry bushes. We walk to our local zoo and are just a few minutes’ drive from the beach. In the summer and fall, we love to visit the dozens of festivals and fairs celebrating local foods, cultures, and arts.

Our Extended Family

Oriana has a small, close-knit family. She has an older brother who lives in California and an older and younger sister who both live in her home state of New York. She has one niece and one nephew, and her siblings excitedly await a new arrival to the family. Oriana is most excited to take our baby on the annual family vacation! Each year, the siblings, spouses, kids, and sometimes pets get together for at least a week to spend time together exploring and going on adventures.

We live in Colleen’s hometown, along with her extended family. There are always aunts, uncles, and cousins to see and spend time with during the holidays. She is especially excited for our child to have their first go at the family Easter egg hunt and to join the traditional Secret Santa gift exchange at our aunt’s house every Christmas. Her parents now live in Florida and are excited to make many trips up north to visit their grandbaby and make lots of memories.

What Led Us To Adoption

Colleen has adopted cousins and has seen firsthand that families can grow in many different ways. Oriana has a blended family but sees no difference in her relationship with her full and half-siblings. We both believe strongly that families are made with love and would be honored to be chosen to adopt a baby. We are ready to expand our family and have chosen adoption knowing we will provide a loving, supportive home for any child.
