We feel tremendous compassion for you and your journey. Thank you for reading our letter. We wish to express our gratitude and admiration for your willingness to consider adoption and to get to know us. We know that we cannot fully understand the complex emotions involved in your decision, but we are positive we can offer ourselves as a committed couple willing and able to provide a wonderful home and family to a child.
We are truly excited about starting our family and have spent the nine years of our relationship working to reach this moment. We offer a limitless amount of unconditional love and support with a strong family environment that emphasizes an appreciation for honesty, diversity, and education. We will work together to raise a child who will be confident yet humble, and aspirational yet grounded. We welcome the opportunity to meet you, and we hope by getting to know us, it will give you peace should you decide to choose us to parent your child.
We thank you sincerely for considering us as prospective parents.
Panagiotes was born in Texas to Greek immigrant parents and Jeremiah was born in rural Illinois. We both come from strong families with modest means, but our families instilled in us a strong work ethic and an appreciation for a loving home. We both attended college and went on to graduate school. Panagiotes earned a doctorate in Physical Therapy and Jeremiah earned a Ph.D in History. Our paths crossed in Phoenix, Arizona, while Jeremiah was working on his Ph.D and Panagiotes was employed as a Physical Therapist.
Now married, Panagiotes continues to work as a Physical Therapist in a hospital setting while Jeremiah has returned to school and is completing a nursing degree. Outside of school and work, we enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, being physically active, and simply enjoying each other's company with evenings at home.
We live in a wonderful, family-friendly neighborhood with a grade school across the street and plenty of parks and playgrounds nearby. There are always a lot of children around. We have a very diverse and culturally inclusive community. Our community offers multiple educational, cultural, and entertainment options. The state of Minnesota is often ranked as a top state in the nation for health, education, and livability. Our home is 2500 square feet with four bedrooms and a fenced-in yard with close proximity to all the wonderful options our city has to offer.
Our Extended Family
Family has always been important to us. Jeremiah has three siblings and nine nieces and nephews, not to mention a very large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Panagiotes is very close to his brother who lives nearby. His parents have moved back to Greece where he also has a rather large extended family.
When possible we like to make the effort to travel in order to see our relatives, to get together for family meals, traveling as a family, and spending quality time together.
What Led Us To Adoption
We both come from backgrounds that emphasized the importance of family and we each grew up surrounded by children. We have both long wanted children and agreed that we, as a couple, would one day start a family of our own. It has been a long-term goal of ours, and we have now reached that time in our relationship when we are ready to adopt. After exploring our options and preparing ourselves as best we can, we believe we have now found the ideal path forward for us as a family. We embrace the opportunity to work with a birthmother and to create a supportive, loving home for a child.
