Dear Expectant Mother,
Our names are Reggie and Barry, and we are grateful to you for taking the time to review our profile. It is our hope that it gives you some insight into who we are and the type of parents we are excited to be to your baby if you choose us. We have dreamed of the day that we would have children, and four years ago we were blessed with our first child through open adoption. She has been the greatest joy of our lives. We had a beautiful adoption experience and remain in touch with our daughter’s mother. We are now looking to grow our small family through adoption a second time.
We understand what a loving sacrifice it is to create an adoption plan for your baby, and we would be honored to be a part of your plan. Our daughter’s mother is an amazing young woman and we continue to honor her daily as we raise our beautiful daughter.
Should we be a part of your plan, the commitment you can expect from us is that we will offer the same unconditional love, support, and guidance to the baby you bring into this world as we have done with our daughter. Your baby deserves parents that are prepared to offer a life that clears the way toward reaching one's greatest potential. You can trust and count on us.
We have been inseparable for 18 years after falling in love soon after our first date. We grew up in near Fort Worth, Texas, but we currently reside in a suburb of Houston, Texas. This is where we are raising our beautiful daughter.
We have many things in common. But the differences in our personalities keep things interesting and fun. Barry is reserved and brilliantly amusing, while Reggie is extroverted and engaging. We share an adventure gene that has led to rock climbing, hiking and conquering roller coasters.
We know that having a safe and loving place to call home is vitally important, and we also want to ensure there are opportunities to go out and see the world. We want to share our love for experiencing and appreciating different cultures and locations around the world. We have been fortunate enough to share our passion for seeing the world with our daughter, and we cannot wait to create more of those memories as we expand our family.
We have plenty of space for a growing family and spend quite a bit of time in the backyard dining on the patio, playing on the swings, or creating new adventures in the treehouse. Our daughter loves to play with our dog Zina and to spend time in her personal garden having tea parties and planting flowers. On a typical weekend at home, you might find us doing home improvement projects, cooking, watching the latest movies, or shopping.
Our neighborhood is perfect for young families because of the charming local parks and community pools. We are tucked away from busy freeways but only moments away from access to anything we need. Our neighborhood in suburban Houston and has all the modern conveniences that a family needs and is home to some of the best schools in Texas.
Our Extended Family
The center of our universe is our beautiful daughter. She makes our days even brighter than we could have ever imagined when we started this same journey four years ago. We both grew up knowing we were loved and supported by family, and we want to create that same feeling for any child in our home. Barry grew up as an only child but was surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins that were just as close to him as any sibling would be. Reggie is from a larger family, being the oldest of three (one brother and one sister) and is now a proud uncle four times over.
Most of our extended family live about four hours away, but we visit them often for long weekends. Both of our families are very excited that we have decided to adopt again and are ready to provide unconditional love for our newest family addition. We also have a small group of friends that live close to us and are just as important to us as family. Our biggest asset will be Barry’s mother, Lisa, who currently lives in our home and will be a perfect extra pair of loving hands.
What Led Us To Adoption
Just over four years ago, we started an adoption journey which led us to our daughter. That experience has only deepened our desire and passion to adopt again because we know firsthand how beautiful of an opportunity it has been to raise our daughter. We honestly cannot wait to welcome home a baby brother or sister for our daughter (she literally asks us for this daily).
We have never envisioned a future that did not involve being parents. Through the years, we have worked hard to build a stable and comfortable life so that once we were parents, we could devote our entire selves to that experience. We have the desire to continue growing our family because being parents is the most amazing and important job we have ever had.
