Dear Expectant Mother,
We would like you to know that it is very brave and selfless of you to consider adoption for your child. We cannot imagine the variety of emotions you may be feeling. But as you learn more about us, we hope you find comfort in knowing that, if you choose us as adoptive parents, we will love and cherish your child. We will create a home filled with happiness, support, education, compassion for others, laughter, and lots and lots of love and big hugs. We admire your courage and strength, and we promise to instill these qualities in our family values.
Thank you for taking the time to view our profile, we hope this letter and the photographs we included will give you a glimpse of who we are and how deeply we wish to be parents.
We, Scott and Michael, have been married for two years, but have been together for five wonderful years in total. Michael is an international flight attendant for a major airline, and his career has given us, along with our family and friends, an opportunity of a lifetime to travel the world. His flexibility allows him to pursue his passion in volunteering with children who live with debilitating diseases. Michael’s passion for life and laughter is definitely something which all those around him take joy in.
Scott is a senior manager of finance and treasury for an international company. His hobbies include running, biking, and cooking for friends and family. He was raised on a large ranch in Oklahoma with plenty of livestock and pets. He still maintains his small-town values. He looks forward to expanding his family and spending time in the small town he grew up in.
We live in a beautiful lakeside, gated community in Texas with our dog Braxton, a Cockapoo. Our home has a large yard and plenty of space to play. The neighbors know us by name, and the neighborhood kids love to ride their bikes around the community. Our house was built and designed with children in mind. We live in a single-story four-bedroom home with three-and-a-half bathrooms. There’s a formal dining room which we fill almost every Sunday with friends as we enjoy dinner. We can’t wait to fill our home with the the sound of children. When we’re cooking in the kitchen, you have a clear view of our living room, the backyard, and our family room, which already has plenty of our two-year-old nephew’s toys.
Our Extended Family
Michael is the eldest of four children. He has one brother and two sisters. He is a loving uncle to one nephew and another on the way in the coming months. He is one of 40-plus cousins. His family has an annual reunion to provide an opportunity for those located throughout the US an opportunity to gather.
Scott is the youngest of two boys, and he is an uncle to two nephews. He is one of 26 cousins. He loves traveling to Oklahoma for his aunt and uncle’s annual Ranch Rodeo.
There is no shortage of love and laughter for our family and friends. Any one one of them can always count on Sunday dinner at our home with some sort of sports program on the TV. The kids are always in eye-view, playing in the playroom or chasing each other in the backyard. Their love and support fill our home.
What Led Us To Adoption
Even prior to meeting each other, our hearts were always set on adoption. Having a family was one of the many topics during our first date! For many couples, that may have been the end, but not for us. This has only strengthened our bond with each other. The love that we share is right out of a fairytale and has only deepened our passion for wanting to add to our family. We’ve been so blessed. And we realize we have so much more love to give.
