Dear Expectant Mother,
I cannot begin to imagine the many emotions you are experiencing as you search for the perfect family for your baby. I can only guess that this is the hardest decision you’ve had to make in life and respect your decision for adoption more than you’ll ever know! The family that you choose to raise your baby will be the luckiest family, and no doubt they will be well aware just how lucky they are to have been chosen by you.
As a potential adoptive parent for your baby, I want to assure you that if you select me to raise your baby, you’ll be a part of my family as well if that’s what you desire. There will always be a place in the baby’s life for both his/her adoptive parent and birthmother. Without a birthmother, I wouldn’t be able to have the family which I’ve wanted for as long as I can remember! I have a large extended family so my family would become yours as well.
Whether or not you select me or another family, I want to say thank you for considering me to raise your baby. Allowing another family to raise your baby is by far the most precious and unselfish gift you can give in life. If I am the family you select, I will be eternally grateful for your gift and promise to give him/her everything possible to grow up to be the man/woman you will be proud of and will respect.
Originally from Texas, I relocated to Arkansas after graduating from the University of the Ozarks. I work in Sales and Customer Service and have made a career from taking care of and making others happy. I'm at a wonderful point in life with a wonderful extended family and circle of friends that are beyond supportive. I have dreamed of being a mom for as long as I can remember, and now I am truly ready to start a family. I have a variety of interests including real estate, attending sporting events, movies and the theatre, photography and spending time with friends and family.
In 2010, I was fortunate to purchase my first home - a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in a quiet family friendly subdivision in Northwest Arkansas. When I was house hunting, I always kept in mind needing space for the family I wanted to have in the future. I share my home with my 3 fur babies – my 2 dogs and 1 cat (Jaxon, Miley and Allie) that fill my home with love and laughter. The addition of a baby would make my home and family complete!
My Extended Family
I am blessed beyond words to have my family as my support system in life. My parents (James and Sherry) live in Texas while my brother and sister-in-law (Brian and Michelle) live in Missouri. Although I have only one sibling, I have a large circle of close friends in Northwest Arkansas that I consider family as well. My family includes all the people in my life that love and support me unconditionally and who will share that same support and love with my future family.
Not only is family important to me but so are family traditions. Vacations are taken for birthday road trips, and holidays are spent with family and friends while cooking out, laughing, talking and being thankful for the time together.
Since several family members work in retail and Christmas being the busiest time of year in retail, it can be difficult to find a time for family from three states to gather, one of our more unique traditions is what we call 'Christmas in January' where we have 2-3 days when my parents, brother, sister-in-law and I can celebrate together as a family. I celebrate on the actual holiday with extended family in Arkansas and then again in January. I cannot wait to begin making new traditions with my new family and share the other traditions of my family.
What Led Me To Adoption
I have always known I wanted to be a mother. About 5 years ago, the timing felt right to start a family and I tried to conceive through the use of Infertility Treatments. Even though it was disappointing to not become pregnant, it wasn’t devastating because I kept faith that one day I would have a child. Then the decision to adopt was one of the easiest decisions I have ever made. I have a large extended family who loves, encourages and supports me. Most of my extended family isn’t biologically related. The definition of family varies from dictionary to dictionary but to me it’s simply the group of people with whom you choose to surround yourself. That’s why I chose adoption to help my dreams of having a family come true!
