Dear Expectant Mother,
I cannot imagine the many emotions you are experiencing as you consider adoption. I understand this is a complicated decision and respect your choice immensely.
As a potential adoptive parent, I promise to provide a child with a life full of unconditional love, emotional and financial support, a safe and stable home, and a good education. I look forward to sharing traditions, my love for animals, and a sense of adventure. There will always be a place in your child’s life for you, if that is your desire. There are family traditions from all of us that can be shared with your child. I’ve dreamed of the day I will take a child to Christmas in January, on a birthday road trip to the zoo, and to college baseball games.
Whether or not you select me, I want to say thank you for considering me in your adoption plan. If I am the adoptive mother you select, I will be eternally grateful for your gift. I promise to do my best to nurture and support your child so they grow up to be a respectful and successful adult. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I am a caring and compassionate individual who loves to make others laugh. I’m a Customer Service Coordinator for an architectural aluminum company. In my company, I’ve had the opportunity to be a global leader for an Employee Resource Group that is committed to promoting inclusion and diversity. I also volunteer for organizations in my local community, such as the Equality Center as a peer mentor, the children’s shelter, and the animal shelter. I enjoy a variety of interests, including real estate, movies, live theater, photography, and spending time with friends and family. I have a passion for traveling, because it provides me with new experiences. Recently, I traveled back-to-back weekends for my birthday, and attended my first NHL hockey game and a MLB game at a new baseball stadium.
In 2010, I was fortunate to purchase my first home, which is located in a quiet, family-friendly subdivision. It is located within minutes of parks, museums, and in a nationally recognized school district. When I was house hunting, I always kept in mind needing space for the family I wanted to have in the future. I share my home with my three rescue fur babies, my two dogs and one cat, who fill my home with love and laughter. The addition of a baby would make my home and family complete!
My Extended Family
Family traditions are very important, such as birthday road trips and holidays with family and friends. This year’s birthday road trip was to Kansas City to visit the art museum, a Royals’ baseball game, and the zoo. Weekends like this create priceless memories.
Christmas with my family has its own special traditions, since it can be difficult for family from three states to gather. This unique tradition is what we refer to as 'Christmas in January,' when we celebrate together as a family. My parents cook non-traditional Christmas meals such as Mom’s homemade enchiladas or Dad’s breakfast quiche. Our competitive sides come out during games like Spades and Chinese Checkers. I am thankful to celebrate on December 25th with extended family and then in January with my parents, brother, and sister-in-law. I look forward to creating new family traditions and sharing my family’s current traditions with a child.
What Led Me To Adoption
I have always known I wanted to be a mother. Adoption has been in my heart for as long as I can remember, so the decision to adopt was one of the easiest decisions I have ever made. I have seen friends build their families through adoption and have witnessed the joy it has brought into their lives. My friends and family encourage and support my desire to adopt, and with their encouragement and support I have chosen adoption as the path to make my dreams of being a mother come true!
