dear expectant mother

We are so grateful to you! If you choose us to raise your child, we promise to do all we can to mirror the strength and courage you have shown as we help your child grow and succeed.

From changing diapers to helping with homework, from kissing boo-boos to baking cupcakes, we are excited and ready to care for your child. We are already looking forward to family board game nights. We will eat dinner at the same table each night, talking about our days and enjoying each other’s company. We will volunteer together in the community. We will open the whole world to your child, both by sharing our knowledge of other languages and cultures and by traveling together. We will take your child to amusement parks, art museums, and baseball games. We will read book after book to your child. We will cheer him or her on at soccer games and dance recitals. Every night we will tuck your child into bed and wish him or her the sweetest of dreams. We will love your child fiercely and unconditionally, to the moon and back.

In the years ahead, every time our home is filled with laughter and light, we will be reminded once more of the tremendously generous gift you have given us. We will never be able to thank you enough for allowing us to become fathers and to provide your child with ample opportunities and limitless love.

We’ve known from the beginning of our relationship that we wanted to have a child some day, so we’re very excited to have the opportunity to expand our family through adoption!

About Us

We’ve been a couple for seven years and happily married for four. We first met online and quickly bonded over our shared passion for movies, books, and television. In the years since, we’ve built a wonderful life together filled with pop culture, our two adorable rescue dogs, daily walks, travel, and endless conversations. At the same time, we’re our own people. Taylor is a night owl; Tim is an early riser. Taylor likes writing; Tim likes crocheting. Taylor doesn’t like golf, but Tim does; Tim doesn’t like hockey, but Taylor does. Our differences make our lives more exciting! One thing we don’t differ on: We both care deeply about education. Taylor assists families in navigating the college admissions process, while Tim helps young people explore literature and writing as an English teacher. We hope to continue sharing our love of learning with others for many years to come.

Our Home

We bought our house last year and have worked hard to make it feel homey. With four bedrooms and a large back yard, there’s plenty of space for your child to have a comfortable, happy life here. Additionally, we’re surrounded by nature, with several parks and a river trail right around the corner, but we also have easy access to big cities with museums, theaters, and restaurants. There are many families with children nearby, and the local schools are top-notch too. Our beloved pooches, Roger and Luigi, love kids and will be thrilled to welcome a new playmate into the fold. For all these reasons, we are sure that our new home will be a fantastic place for your child to grow up.

Our Extended Family

Taylor has a large extended family, while Tim’s family circle is a bit smaller, but both of us value family and enjoy spending time with our relatives. We see more of Tim’s family because of their geographic closeness, but Taylor calls his parents and grandparents regularly, and we travel to the East Coast at least once a year to spend time with them. They all love and support us, and they are so excited to help us welcome a new family member!

We can’t wait to introduce your child to some of our longstanding traditions, like watching Hocus Pocus together at Halloween, baking Christmas cookies, and having monthly dinners at Tim’s mom’s house. We’re also looking forward to teaching your child to make classic family recipes, including some truly delicious Italian ones from Taylor’s grandparents. Additionally, we plan on speaking both English and Italian in our home, so your child would grow up bilingual, with a strong appreciation for multiple cultures.

Your child would know immense love—from us, from our families, and from the wonderful friends with whom we’ve surrounded ourselves. He or she would be showered with endless affection, care, and support on all sides.

What Led Us To Adoption

We’ve known from the beginning of our relationship that we wanted to have a child some day, so we’re very excited to have the opportunity to expand our family through adoption! Furthermore, because of our devotion to education, we both care deeply about helping the next generation, and so it would be immensely fulfilling to nurture a member of that generation. We are both responsible, caring, thoughtful individuals with an excellent support system of friends and family surrounding us. We are confident that we’re ready to raise a child together, and nothing would make us happier than to bring your baby into our home and to give him or her opportunities to thrive, learn, and grow. We can’t wait to be dads!
