Thank you for reading about us, and getting to know us through this profile. As we sit here writing this, we are both excited and anxious – our hearts beating a mile a minute, and our head screaming with a thousand thoughts. Given how we feel, we cannot imagine how difficult this choice may have been for you, but given the opportunity, we would be humbled to offer support and encouragement and go down this road with you.
We are committed to raising your child in a warm, and caring home, full of laughter, hugs and dreams of the future. We do not take promises or commitments lightly and are committed to creating the most caring home for your child, and to love them unconditionally. From the bottom of our hearts, we would want to ensure the love you have for him or her be felt and ever-present in their life. And, if we were lucky enough to have you choose us to be the parents for your child, we would hope to develop a lifelong relationship with you. However, we would also want to honor any plan you desire for communication after the birth of the baby.
We both spent our teenaged years in the same New England town, we knew the same people, but somehow never met. After going away to school, we eventually returned home because we wanted to be near our families. A chance meeting, and a meteor shower on a cold December night, we knew we would always be together.
We believe our bond will help us to be the supportive and loving parents we are aspiring to be. We both have strong relationships with our families, and incredibly supportive friends littered all over the United States. We would love to share our experiences and community with our child, and provide them with every resource we can, to become the best version of themselves, they can be.
We consider ourselves fortunate to live in a strong community on the New England shore. Even though our house is situated on a nice piece of property, one of the town’s several parks is just a block away with many sports fields, and a large playscape for children. The neighborhood is full of kids riding their bikes up and down the sidewalk and neighbors walking their dogs. In the summer we love to come home from the beach in town, and grill on our large back deck. Our two dogs, Bode and Ollie, love to explore our fenced-in yard, and greet passers-by with a friendly bark, and a wag of their tail. Both Bode and Ollie would eagerly welcome a new member of the family and are comfortable around children.
Our Extended Family
We consider ourselves fortunate to have a strong group of supportive family and friends within our town, close family all over New England, as well as family and friends all over the country. We spend time with all of our family and it is one of our top priorities.
Whether going to their homes, school functions or having them to our house it is definitely something we enjoy very much. Meals and baking traditional breads is something we love doing with Tim’s YiaYia (Greek for Grandmother). Having a new child in our family to share all the love we are fortunate to be a part of would be special beyond words.
What Led Us To Adoption
For us, starting a family was something we talked about from the time we first met. While our love might be viewed as non-traditional, the love we have to share with our family, friends, and one day a child, is strong and unconditional. Whenever we speak about raising a child, it is with great excitement, and is about passing on family traditions and developing new ones. Our home is filled with laughter, music, pet hair and a community of friends and family. We think it will be important to share real world experience, along with travel and culture to a child, so he or she can learn about our diverse world, and become an open minded strong member of a growing and ever changing world.
