for being brave.
for thinking about us.
for possibly enriching our life with the one thing we desire more than anything in the world.
We want to be there for you during this time, and honor our "new family" bond. We know it is a tough decision and we respect how challenging it will be to give of your selfless love as a mother, and we want you to know how honored we would be to be kind, giving and loving parents to a wonderful little girl. We are excited to see her grow up to be a woman who believes in herself, is strong and brave, and kind... We look forward to watching that happen.
Thank you, for considering us and considering trusting us with your most precious gift.
Our story began 8 years ago. We met at a Charity Gala in Dallas and dated for several years and were married in New York City, almost 4 years ago. On our first date, we discussed having a family, and from then on it has been something we both feel now is the time. We were always told and assumed this couldn't happen for us, but the world has really changed in the past few years, and we feel its our time.
Todd grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas and attended Texas Tech University, and Culinary Education with CIA, he moved to Dallas to start his career. Todd is an Event Designer and Planner for beautiful weddings and celebrations across the country and owns a beautiful retail store in Dallas. Gonzalo grew up in Mexico City and attended LaSalle university and moved to Paris to train as a Hair Stylist, before moving to Texas and opening his Salons. We love to travel, entertain and spend time with our family and friends. We love a lazy day at home and generally just enjoying each other's company and those around us.
We have two beautiful places, we live in our home in Houston, and we have an additional hi rise town house in Dallas, that we use when traveling for work. We have an adorable Pug named Pippa, and love spending time with her. Gonzalo’s parents are deceased, as well as my father, I but still have my mother and my grandmother in Texas. And Gonzalo's family, his two brothers and Aunt Hilda are living in Mexico City, where we travel annually.
Our Extended Family
We have a great family, and travel to Mexico City to see Gonzalo's family annually. My family is in Texas and we see them for major holidays and an annual trip somewhere. Last year we spent that time in Florida. We also travel on vacations with our friends and their kids, skiing or to the ocean. These times are precious and never enough in our busy world so we take time to enjoy them.
What Led Us To Adoption
Well... to be honest, it feels more accepted finally! Gonzalo and I both believe in more traditional values, we believe that your family is the core and for the first time in our lives feel that its right and ready for us to be parents. We look forward to sharing our wisdom, our humor, and our big giant love with a special little one. We look forward to being a part of the good and the ugly that life can bring, but bringing a smart, capable, confident young woman into the world would mean everything to us. We know that for a mother to grant us with this gift, is truly that, a gift. And it would be our honor and privilege to be a part of that journey.
