Dear Expectant Mother,
We cannot begin to imagine what you are going through or what it is like having to read through hundreds of profiles of people wanting to raise your baby. However, we can tell you that the gift of you even taking the time to read our profile is much appreciated. There is nothing in this world like knowing that you are responsible for a child’s life, even if you are not going to be able to be part of his or her life daily. Your emotions must be all over, and then to think that you have to try to pick just the right family makes our hearts yearn to reach out and let you know that we know this is terrifyingly hard for you.
That being said, we are a loving family who would love to be able to share our home with another child, as we feel we still have so much more to give. Our life was full when we had one child, then we added our second son and our hearts grew again to love more than we knew possible. As a couple, we just know our hearts are ready for another child to love and care for. We understand that trusting us to raise your child is easily one of the hardest decisions you will ever make in your lifetime, but we want you to know that it would be our honor. Your child is such a special gift to you and to our family. We truly pray that the decision you make gives you peace in your heart, and allows you to have a life filled with joy and comfort, as you know your baby is being loved as much as you could have ever dreamed they would be.
We met in 2002 through mutual friends and an instant connection on the dance floor. Through walks in parks, talks in coffee shops, and long conversations, it did not take long to realize that life was best together. Michelle has been employed with the same company for over ten years, and this company provides great benefits and valuable personal time off. Tracy owns her own business, which is based out of her home and allows unlimited schedule flexibility to dedicate more time to the family. Michelle enjoys working out at the gym, dancing, and listening to all types of music, and Tracy enjoys riding horses, reading, and spending time with babies and children.
We live in a quiet neighborhood, close to parks, great schools, and many activities. At home, the backyard is huge and there is so much room to run and play, as well as shade to relax and escape the summer heat. We spend time with our children and three small dogs at one of several local parks that have plenty of room for picnics and amazing play areas for smaller children. The family enjoys summer days at one of three beaches that are all less than 45-minutes from home. Additionally, Tracy’s beloved horse Buck, who is a 16-year-old Quarter horse, is such a pleasure for children as they spend time learning about themselves through equestrian care and activities. Indoors, the family enjoys games, movies, and watching the dogs play with their toys!
Our Extended Family
Tracy’s extended family lives mostly in the same area, and we are all able to be actively involved and supportive of one another by attending each other’s children’s athletic or school events, shopping together, being able to pick up each other’s kids when sick, and loving each other through hard times. Major holidays are always eagerly anticipated, as we all know which “special dish” we are supposed to bring, who will host each holiday event, and the tradition of it all keeps us close. We enjoy camping, trips to the mountains, and cruises together as frequently as possible. Birthdays are celebrated together, and even if you aren’t a child, you get a birthday celebration with all involved!
Michelle’s extended family lives a little farther away but still maintains a close relationship with daily contact through social media and phone calls. Having a large extended family, there are attempts made for bi-yearly reunions that bring everyone together to catch up and enjoy days together. This valuable time is cherished for cousins to bring their children together and be able to reminisce about summers spent in Florida with their grandmother. Michelle’s grandmother is still alive and such a kind woman who enjoys seeing everyone still come together as a family.
Our Adoption Story
We have wanted to adopt since the beginning of our relationship and have always known adoption would be a special part of their journey together. Through adoption, there is a hope that our family can grow, and it also gives a very strong birth mother a sense of peace that their child will be taken care of. Tracy’s mama-bear instincts are fierce, and Michelle is capable of just about anything to ensure her children are taken care of. Together, we have a loving, fun family that has the desire to continue growing and experiencing this beautiful life together.
