Dear Expectant Mother,
First and foremost, let us start by saying that we understand the decision you are making is incredibly emotional and is an extremely tough thing to do. However, please know that our number one goal is to love your child from the moment they are born until our very last breath.
We have been together for almost eight years, and since the beginning, we both knew we wanted to start a family one day. We want to raise your child in a loving home and share with them fun, love, and awesome experiences throughout their life. We cannot wait to start a life of firsts, from showing your child their first time at the ocean to their first snowman and everything in between.
We are extremely excited to start this journey and look forward to working with you as you and your child head through this journey. We promise to respect your desires and provide you all the encouragement and support possible. At the end of the day, this journey is about providing your child a safe and secure home.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing this journey with you.
We are both officers in the United States Air Force and are currently stationed in Colorado. Travis is a military brat who calls Texas his home-state and attended the United States Air Force Academy. Kevin was born and raised in South Carolina and attended Clemson University. We met through a mutual friend while working in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and hit it off right from the beginning. We started dating in October 2010 and married in October 2017. Now that we are married, we enjoy being under one roof and are so excited to share a united life together.
Our home is in Colorado. We bought it through a local custom builder and absolutely love the area. The neighborhood is new, but it is quiet, with people of all ages and growing families. We have two dogs (German Shorthaired Pointers) named Remington and Kimber, who have been part of our family for the last three and four years, respectively. They both love to play with our friends’ children and are very sweet and affectionate to children of all ages. We love to get out and enjoy the mountains and hiking nearby.
Our Extended Family
We were both raised in loving and caring households. Travis is one of two kids raised by his parents all around the country and in Germany, until they settled in Texas when his father retired from the military. Travis’ younger brother is serving in the United States Army, is married, and has a stepson named Hunter, who is two years old. Every time we visit Travis’ family, we both love to spend time with Hunter, getting outdoors and playing until we’re all tired out.
Kevin is an identical twin with one older brother. He grew up in South Carolina his entire life. He and his brother are as close today as when they were toddlers. His twin has a young son named Louis who is one-and-a-half years old, and he loves to be held, played with, and spoiled by his uncles. We cherish every moment with our family, and cannot wait to grow it.
What Led Us To Adoption
Since we started dating, we have both known we wanted to start a family and raise kids together. Knowing we both wanted to raise a family made our relationship strong early on, but we also wanted to wait until we were married, financially stable, and had a home ready to raise a child in. Adoption was our first option because we understand that there are so many situations where life happens and a birthmother is looking for a loving family to raise her child, and we could not be more honored for the opportunity to do so.
