We can only imagine how strong and loving you are, and how difficult making this choice must be for you. We thank you for your courage in taking this important step, and for taking the time to read our profile and learn more about us. We promise to give this child a warm, caring and nurturing home, surrounded by love and laughter. In our family, we value kindness, honesty, respect, and integrity, and we intend to model those values to this child as we raise them.
Having had the experience of parenting our first daughter, we feel fully prepared and willing to navigate through any obstacles that may come our way and to be examples of unconditional love and support. We hope to help this child grow into the wonderful person we know they can become, and will do anything and everything to encourage and support their dreams and aspirations.
We met through a mutual friend 13 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. Francesca is a producer for video games, while Zoe works in film and TV industry as a Director of Photography. When Zoe is not behind the camera she’s behind the microphone doing voiceover work for commercials and video games. Our shared love of music, films, video games and all things Star Wars is how we first connected, and we continue to enjoy those same hobbies together.
We have been very blessed to be able to travel and meet some amazing people around the world. We have made many friends and extended family through our travels to places like Europe, South America, and Asia.
Francesca enjoys painting landscapes and cooking while Zoe plays her guitar or piano in the background.
We live in a big city in Southern California that is incredibly rich in culture and diversity. We live in a large 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, which is purposefully close to museums, parks, and movie theaters. Thankfully, our neighborhood is quiet, very safe, and a joy to take daily evening walks in, which allow us to reconnect with each other. When summer hits, we love to go camping with our two dogs, Roxy and Karma.
We love taking our dogs to the beach and hiking in the hills surrounding our neighborhood, as well as running to the various dog parks near us where they can play and socialize. They both love to play, cuddle and be affectionate with us and our friends.
Our Extended Family
Francesca’s mom lives in the same city and she works as an early childhood educator and an emergency medical technician. Most of her family lives in Peru, and every few years we visit them or they’ll come out to see us. Francesca’s sister and niece live in New England; we visit every other year but we also see each other often on FaceTime.
When we get together, we enjoy hosting large family BBQs or picnics at the beach. Zoe’s family, unfortunately, has been out of touch with us since she came out, but we have an amazing adopted family in our close friends. We’ll often go out bowling, hiking, and to the beach, as well as taking trips out of town together to explore nature in Southern California. We also enjoy attending Friday night dinners and participating in community volunteering events with our local synagogue.
What Led Us To Adoption
We were parents to a wonderful baby girl born in 2011. She was diagnosed with a fatal genetic disease at a year old, and although she was a strong fighter she, unfortunately, lost her battle in 2013.
Though this experience could easily have torn us apart as a couple, it has instead brought us much closer and left us even more in love. Because the disease is genetic we know adoption is our best path to being parents again, and after healing, we now feel ready to give the same unconditional care and love to another child.
