Dan & Kim

Dear Expectant Mother,

We would love to start off by saying thank you. We know this must be a difficult decision, but we respect you for making the tough choice to place your baby in the arms of a complete stranger. We would love for you to know that this is the best gift we could receive. We have struggled with infertility for quite some time, and to be able to experience the joys of becoming parents is our dream. We hope to provide the best life possible for your child and provide as many experiences and opportunities to him or her as we possibly can.

We are excited to be able to share our lives with your child, including the traveling we do, new places we explore, and people we meet. We love going new places and seeing new things we have not seen before. We also enjoy quiet movies and game nights at the house, which allows us to just spend the evening together.

We hope this letter gives you a little more insight to who we are as a couple and what type of family we are. We are surrounded by a very loving support system that is very excited to take this journey with us.

About Us

contact

As a couple, we work hard to maintain careers and a stable lifestyle. Dan works full time as a fireman and paramedic for the city we live in, and Kim is a full-time student and therapeutic massage therapist. When we met, we were both very busy individuals who did not have a lot of free time to spend in a traditional dating scene, but we were both looking for someone we could connect with and spend what time we had together. We ended up meeting on Match.com, met for one date, and have been together ever since. It truly was a blessing to be able to meet someone that feels the same way that you do but has their own personality and life to share.

Our Home

contact

Our home is a cozy three-bedroom home we are very proud of, and the town we live in is a very close-knit community, filled with younger families and a lot of children to fill the streets with laughter. We live down the street from an elementary school and park, but if we want to stay in we have a huge backyard in which we maintain a garden and have a lot of space for our three dogs and future children to run and play. because we have had the opportunity to do a good amount of renovations over the past four years. We look forward to getting involved in all the local community events especially sports and the fire department family activities!

Our Extended Family

contact

Dan has a huge extended family we spend a lot of time with; there are always family get-togethers for just about every holiday. Kim has a smaller family, so time is spent with them in a quieter setting, which is more personal and intimate. It is a vital part of both worlds to be able to spend a quiet evening with Kim’s family and also be able to experience the bigger family traditions with Dan’s family.

Most of our family traditions include things like a yearly ravioli making party for Easter, traveling to the zoo to see the Christmas lights, and baking and decorating cookies for Christmas. Our family is very excited and supportive of our decision to adopt, and they cannot wait to be able to share these experiences with us and a new addition to the family.

Our family also loves to travel, and the biggest thing that happens every year is a trip to the beach! During this time, the family spends a lot of time exploring new food places and water activities. We do quite a bit of shopping and sightseeing, including seeing wild horses run on the beach and watching the sunsets and sunrises every day.

What Led Us To Adoption

contact

We have always wanted to have a family and are very close with our family and friends. Having a child in our lives is something we have been dreaming about for the last eight years, and it would be a blessing to be able to experience this gift. All of our friends who have adopted in the past have had nothing but wonderful experiences with their journey, and they all say the children who came into their lives have made them feel complete. We hope to be able to experience the joy of being parents, ourselves.
