As there is no way to fully describe our appreciation for you and your sacrifice, please know we are committed to working alongside you through this process, and with the utmost respect and appreciation, we thank you for your courageous and selfless act while making this decision.
We both are excited about becoming parents and look forward to the challenges and joys parenthood will bring as we work together to raise a confident, respectful, thoughtful, and loving child who values diversity, honesty, and giving to others, as we do. We feel our values, upbringings, and experiences have made us both culturally sensitive, especially in the current times, and our desire is to honor your child's culture while providing the opportunity for him or her to have a life full of love, education, laughter, travel, and adventure.

It is our dream to share our love and knowledge with children and pass on our cultural, multiracial, and international traditions and experiences. We and our family have a lot of love to give to our future children, and we can’t wait to start this new chapter in our lives.

We met nine years ago while Michael was on an internship in the U.S. We got married twice—once in 2014 in Germany and then again in 2015 in the U.S. Gerald grew up in Alabama on a farm and joined the military after graduating from high school. After his nine years of service, Gerald completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and psychology counseling. He currently works in human resources and recruiting, which reflects his passion to help people. Michael was born in Germany in a close-knit family. After graduating from high school, Michael started his career in hospitality and later obtained his bachelor’s degree in the same. His career allowed him to travel and work in the U.S. Michael currently works at the corporate level of an international hospitality company and is excited every day to do what he loves.
We live in a beautiful suburban neighborhood within a highly rated school district. We are surrounded by friendly neighbors with children of all ages, and children play together at the playground or pool or meet for holiday parades or the Easter egg hunt. Gerald takes pride in maintaining the yard, where you can find us socializing with neighbors or enjoying Michael’s home-cooked meals. This year we started our own little herb and vegetable garden, and we can’t wait to harvest what we grew.
Our entire family is excited and looks forward to welcoming the new family addition to celebrate birthdays and holidays together with them, especially Christmas with the entire family.
Gerald’s family lives close by in Alabama. His family consists of his mother, brother, sister, and cousin who grew up with them and will be our child’s godmother. Gerald is really close to his mother, who is thrilled to welcome your baby to the next Thanksgiving dinner at her house.
Michael’s family lives in Germany, but they still speak every week. His family consists of his mother, father, brother, sister-in-law, two nephews, niece, godmother, godfather, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Since we visit Germany at least once a year or Gerald’s family visits us, it will be great to introduce your child to the entire family. His nephews, niece, and cousin’s children can’t wait to meet their new cousin and grow up together.
We are at the stage in our lives where we are looking to grow our family. It is our dream to share our love and knowledge with children and pass on our cultural, multiracial, and international traditions and experiences. We and our family have a lot of love to give to our future children, and we can’t wait to start this new chapter in our lives.
