Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State we live in: California

dear expectant mother

We haven’t met yet, but we are excited to get to know you. We know adoption can be a tough decision and a difficult process, but we want you to know we’re here to work as a team to make sure both you and the baby are happy and healthy.

We hope our previous adoption experience provides some comfort in knowing we understand the ups and downs of adoption. None of this is easy or perfect, and that’s okay. We know you are doing what is best, and we’re here to support you.

We’d love to have the chance to be the adoptive parents for a special child and to welcome them into a loving home. We can’t wait to grow our family and share our love with this new child.

With love and appreciation,
Julie, Aldo & Malcolm

About Us

We are an outgoing, fun-loving family of three who are so excited to welcome another baby into our universe. It was truly love at first sight when we had our first date after meeting online in 2009. We married in 2012 and spent time doing our favorite things together: play board games, travel the world, go to the movies (and watch them at home!), and spend lots of time with family and friends having backyard barbeques and celebrating holidays.

In 2018, we were thrilled to adopt our son Malcolm. He’s brought a lot of excitement and energy to our family and the love we have for him is immense. We can’t wait to welcome another child into our loving family.

Our Home & Pets

We adopted our two cute kitties in 2014: Betty is a loving tabby cat, and Mi-Go is a spunky tuxedo cat born with a broken tail. They live with us in our home and love going outside to watch the birds.

Our backyard has a playground and lots of space to run around, and we live on a cul-de-sac where lots of kids ride bikes and play together. Our home has plenty of room for everyone to have their own space along with gathering areas for family time when we watch movies and play games. Our community has an active downtown and plenty of space to roam around out in nature and in the vineyards.

Our Extended Family

Aldo’s side of the family is Mexican and he grew up with Mexican traditions and customs. He was also raised by his Chilean aunt, who introduced him to another part of Latin American culture. Aldo has one sister who has two children of her own, and we have been with them since their births. We like to play board games with them, spend holidays together, and have big family dinners and special themed birthday parties.

Julie’s side of the family is filled with cousins, aunts, and uncles, and they all live nearby, which means lots of visits and family time. As a family, we love finding and exploring new towns in our area, traveling to other countries, and spending time together singing karaoke and laughing. We are a close-knit family who cares for each other and are in constant communication - the cousins live just down the street!

Our whole family can’t wait to welcome another little one to join us for all the fun we have!

Our Adoption Story

While we tried to have kids of our own, it didn’t quite work out, and so we turned to adoption as a way to build our family. Aldo was adopted after his mom passed away, so for him, adoption was familiar, loving, and something he wanted to bring to another child. Growing up, Julie had several friends who were adoptees, and from an early age she was drawn to the idea of adopting children of her own.

After experiencing adoption through the birth of our son, we now have a new level of understanding and appreciation of the process. Through our first adoption process, we had the joy of meeting an amazing group of friends who are also all adoptive families. With them, we celebrate adoption and lean on each other for support.
