Adoptive Parent Coordinator

Denae joins the LifeLong Adoptions team with a strong background in case management and supporting individuals with disabilities. Forever an advocate, Denae has always had a strong passion for helping and supporting those that may not have the means or ability to do so. While she is new to the adoption community, Denae is beyond excited to bring her unique skill set to the team! In her free time, Denae enjoys feeding her creative mind through calligraphy, journaling, and reading. She can most likely be found spending time outside with her friends and loved ones.

Q&A with Denae

  • What do you do at LifeLong?

    I'm an adoptive parent coordinator and I'm so excited to be part of the team! In addition to helping educate and prepare adoptive parents for their adoption journey, I provide a unique perspective and level of support for our families as they navigate this truly special time in their lives.

  • When did you join the LifeLong?

    I started in June 2020, and it was the best day ever! I'm so excited to have joined such a supportive and enthusiastic team.

  • What motivates you to get up and go to work?

    My passion for advocacy always keeps me moving. I have always been one to fight for the underdog and I genuinely enjoy helping people.

  • What is your favorite inspirational, motivational, or positive-thinking quote?

    Move. That's it. In the past few years, that simple sentence has helped me stay focused and not so paralyzed by the unknown to come. As long as you move, all is well.

  • What's your personal connection to adoption?

    Two of my relatives adopted their daughters (my cousins) shortly after they were born. While I don't remember the specific details, I can remember them being so overjoyed when the adoptions were finalized.

  • What advice do you have for our waiting families?

    I think it's important to keep an open mind and stay positive through the highs and lows of the journey. As long as you have the correct perspective, the outcome does not matter.

  • Who inspires you and why?

    My best friend Keli. She's a mom of four, a wife, works full-time, and owns four businesses. She's definitely my superhero.

  • What are you passionate about?

    I'm passionate about advocating for individuals diagnosed with Autism. I've supported them for years and have come to learn that they are some of the most special and bright people on the planet.

  • What’s the greatest challenge you have had to overcome in your life thus far?

    Learning to rely on myself and know that the gifts and talents I've been blessed with are more than enough to accomplish whatever is in front of me.

  • Where is your favorite place to be?

    I love being outside, toes in the grass or a body of water. As long as I'm somewhere warm!

  • What are you proudest of?

    I'm most proudest of my mistakes and scars. They have made me who I am today and have taught me invaluable lessons that I will never lose sight of. Through them, I've learned just how strong and capable I really am.
