Executive Director

Sue has been with LifeLong Adoptions since the very beginning, and she brought with her many years of experience in customer service. Her extraordinary people skills are a tremendous benefit when working with both adoptive families and birthmothers. As the mother of three children, Sue understands the desire adoptive families have to be parents, and she is always thrilled when her adoptive families are blessed with a new baby. Furthermore, Sue understands the level of support and guidance birthmothers need and feels fortunate to have the opportunity to let them know how much LifeLong cares for them.

Q&A with Sue

  • What do you do at LifeLong?

When I first started, I was a Birthmother Coordinator. As I progressed within the company, I was lucky enough to be in every position at one point or another. With all the experience I've had throughout the years, I now work with the Adoptive Parent Alumni to build bonds between other families that went through the same experience.

  • What motivates you to get up and go to work?

I have a continuous passion for adoption! I am able to do the one thing that I love, which is to help families. I like that I am able to change peoples' lives every day by making miracles happen. Waking up every morning, I know I am helping build families through adoption!

  • What is your favorite inspirational, motivational, or positive-thinking quote?

"Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day."

  • What's your personal connection to adoption?

Adoption is a foreign word to most until you or someone you know goes through it. When I became friends with two of my closest friends, it opened my eyes to how wonderful adoption is. Seeing both of them struggle to build their families broke my heart. When they both decided to adopt their children, I saw that everything does happen for a reason. The struggles that I saw them go through were answered with the miracle of adoption.

  • What advice do you have for our waiting families?

The best piece of advice that I can give would be to trust the process. Know that you are going to hit bumps in the road, but everything will work itself out. You have a great team behind you that will be cheering you along, you just have to be patient knowing that we are doing everything in our power to grow your family!

  • When are you happiest?

When I spend time with my family on vacation or relaxing in the backyard.
