Family Type: Gay Couple
State we live in: Tennessee

dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to consider us as a possible family for your baby. Although we cannot fathom the emotions you are going through, our hearts go out to you while you take the steps to ensure your baby’s future. It takes a strong, courageous, and loving individual to make this life-changing decision. By considering this decision, we know you are already a good mother because you are taking the time to find the best possible parents for your baby. You care for your baby’s future and needs as much as we will.

The possibility of having a family of our own means the world to us. We look forward to the opportunity to pass down our family traditions, such as baking cookies every holiday, dressing up as superheroes for Halloween, baking homemade cakes for special occasions, celebrating family Christmas each year, and taking family vacations. We also look forward to all the moments in between that make up everyday life. We wish to bring all the love and support from our family and our relationship to your baby. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

The possibility of having a family of our own means the world to us.

-Adam & Justin

About Us

Justin was born in Germany on a United States Army base and raised in Tennessee. Adam was born and raised in Kentucky before moving to Tennessee for college, where he met Justin. We have been together since our first date 10 years ago in a coffee shop. Justin proposed to Adam in that same coffee shop four years later. After obtaining his degree in 2012, Justin continued to support Adam as he completed his degree in 2015. We married that year in a local playhouse surrounded by our closest friends and family. Our moms walked us down the aisle, while Justin’s dad officiated our wedding. Our desire to develop, lead, and positively influence others led us both to careers as human resource managers. We are excited to take our next step in our own development by growing our family of two.

Our Home & Pets

We own a home in a friendly neighborhood in Tennessee. We enjoy spending time working in our yard, where we have rose bushes and lots of trees. We are located just around the corner from a disc golf course, where we like to walk and enjoy the pond; one day we could teach your child to play disc golf. We have two cats: Selina (named for Catwoman) and Winchester (named for the TV show Supernatural). They are big cuddlers and very loving with everyone who visits us. We chose this area partly due to the great school district; we are less than 10 minutes away from all three schools (elementary, middle, and high school).

Our Extended Family

Our parents are very involved in our lives, and we each have one younger brother. Adam’s brother recently welcomed our first nephew into the family; he was born in December 2019. Adam’s mom has been over the moon with her first grandbaby. Both our mothers are excited about having a grandchild (the first for Justin’s mom). Living nearby are Justin’s aunt and two cousins and their families. Justin’s cousin is his best friend, and we spend a lot of time with her and her little girl, who just turned six.

We have a tradition of getting together and making holiday-themed cookies for every major holiday. We also host a Halloween costume party with family and friends every year as well as Thanksgiving dinner with our parents and brothers. Every Christmas Eve, we visit Adam’s childhood home and open gifts with his mom and his brother’s family. On Christmas Day, we go to a large family gathering of Justin’s family (30+ aunts, uncles, and cousins). Family and friends are important to us, and your baby would be loved and supported as a member of our family.

What Led Us To Adoption

Early on in our relationship, we knew we wanted to be parents one day. The love we have between us is strong and wonderful; to be able to share that with your baby would mean the world to us. We decided to adopt to love and support a baby just as we have loved and supported each other. We wish to raise your baby by sharing our experiences, teaching, reading comics and Harry Potter, teaching him or her to cook, and being there for every scraped knee and ouchy. Knowing a baby out there needs our kind of love and our ability to provide a safe, supportive home, we couldn’t have chosen any other way.
