dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

From the bottom of our hearts, we can’t tell you what it means to us that you’re considering us to raise your baby. The opportunity alone is a blessing for us because becoming parents has been our greatest desire for so long. We will make sure your baby knows nothing but unconditional love, endless support, and unwavering commitment by making sure they have every comfort and opportunity we can give them. We’ll laugh every day. We’ll make sure they know it’s always okay to make mistakes, and we’ll fight for them. We’ll make sure they believe they’re capable of doing anything and being anyone.

We can’t wait to take them to Disneyland, teach them to swim and ride a bike, laugh at their first cartoon, take them on their first trip to our local bookstore, and help them bake their first tray of powdered walnut cookies for Christmas. Together, we’ll explore digital clifftops in The Legend of Zelda and hike real trails when they’re older. With one parent a nurse and one parent a writer, your baby will experience the worlds of science and art at home, which will show them options to explore what it is they most want to do. Whoever they end up being, with us, they’ll have two of the fiercest defenders forever. Thank you for considering our family.

From the bottom of our hearts, we can’t tell you what it means to us that you’re considering us to raise your baby.

About Us

Hello, we’re Adam and Michael. Adam is an author of mystery and romance books for young adults. Reading is an enormous passion of his, especially for kids at a young age. Michael has been a nurse since 2012 and utilizes his nursing knowledge to improve outcomes and quality for all patients. For the last twelve years, we have grown closer to one another with each day, and we are both focused on our desire to create a warm, safe home for each other, our dogs, our family and friends, and—our biggest wish—our children. When life gets challenging, we believe everything is easier to deal with when you have a supportive home base to return to at the end of a long day. We strive daily to be that for each other, always remembering to laugh along the way, and we want to provide that for your baby.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a gated community adjacent to Beverly Hills. We moved here specifically because we thought it was a great place to begin our family in LA: friendly neighbors who have been residents for over ten years, gated building tucked away from main streets, but close enough to museums, parks, and bookstores that there will always be something new and exciting to do! Even for LA, it’s a very safe neighborhood with an excellent school just down the street. In our home, something is always baking in the oven, and there’s plenty of space for our two little dachshunds to run around. We can’t wait for your baby to fall in love with these pups. We’re also excited for your baby to experience our local activities, like farmers markets, movie theaters, and Disneyland.

Our Extended Family

We both come from big families that love having people over to celebrate occasions throughout the year, whether it’s birthdays, holidays, or summer barbecues. Adam’s family adores Halloween. Growing up, they kept a box of costumes in their basement that they’d add to each Halloween, but they would dip into it throughout the year to put on plays at home. This box is still used to this day by our young nieces, and we’re all excited to bring your baby into our family so they can eventually join in this family tradition.

Michael’s family does Christmas better than anyone. Every year, his mother gets a large tree that makes the whole house smell like fresh pine. She always has everyone over on Christmas Eve and cooks dinner in the classic Italian way, with many delicious seafood dishes. Michael’s grandmother, who has passed away, left many beloved recipes with us, which we regularly enjoy making together and look forward to one day introducing to your child. Both of our families are so excited to welcome a new baby into our mix, and passing down these traditions to your baby will mean everything to them.

What Led Us To Adoption

Since we met, we’ve wanted to adopt kids, and when we saw our family friends Terry and Kevin adopt their baby through this process, it made everything seem so clear and possible. It gave us enormous hope that we could grow our family and add more joy to our extended families. We loved seeing how it was an affirming, positive situation that made sure everyone involved felt listened to and acknowledged. That’s how we want to become parents and how we will raise your baby if you choose us.
