Dear Expectant Mother,
We cannot begin to imagine the thought and reflection it has taken for you to come to this decision. The strength and courage it has taken to make this decision is astounding and one we will never fully understand. By considering us to adopt and raise your child, you would be giving us a gift we cannot achieve on our own, and there would never be any way to thank you enough for helping make our family complete. You are special to us as you help us create the family we have always dreamed of by having the strength to place your child for adoption.
We want to assure you that your child would be given an amazing life full of joy, laughter, and love. Not only do we have amazing families who support our journey but we have an amazing group of friends. They are supportive, loving, and helpful in every aspect of our lives, which would include helping us raise a child.
We cannot imagine how hard it is for you to make this decision. We hope you find comfort in the fact we are excited to welcome your child into our lives and will love and cherish them with our whole hearts. We will give your child a home full of support, happiness, and more love than we can describe. Thank you for taking the time to look over our profile, and we wish you the best on your journey.
We got married in November of 2018 after falling head over heels in love. We had a small but beautiful ceremony with family and close friends. Adam grew up in various towns in Minnesota as his father is a pastor. He always knew that he wanted to be a teacher due to his love of teaching Sunday School and tutoring. Adam has been a special education teacher for eight years. He teaches students with significant disabilities, including students who are non-verbal, wheelchair bound, and tube-fed. Shawn has spent his entire life in Iowa, where his immediate family resides. Shawn loves working with kids. That love has led Shawn to work as a before and after school care site lead. He also works as a manager at a daycare during the day. Shawn previously worked as an associate for students with significant disabilities.
We recently purchased a four-bed, two-bath split-level home. We have wonderful neighbors, and there are always children playing outside, riding bikes, and playing at the local playgrounds we have in our community. We are lucky to have a walking trail behind our house and many different activities to do around our community. The school district we work in, where your child would attend, is very strong in all areas. We also have two dogs, Jaxsen and Gigi. Jaxsen is an eight-year-old King Charles spaniel/dachshund mix. Gigi is a two-year-old Moyan standard poodle. Our dogs are very important to us, and we are excited for them to have another human to love.
Our Extended Family
Adam’s immediate family lives in Minnesota. Adam’s dad is a pastor, and his mom is a regional director of a nursing home. Adam has one brother, who is married and has a three-year-old son. In addition, Adam has one grandma, one grandpa, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Every Thanksgiving we spend time in Minnesota celebrating on Thanksgiving and the Saturday following. We also make sure to find some good Black Friday deals! We enjoy time in Minnesota around Christmas and in the summer as well.
Shawn’s immediate family lives in Iowa. Shawn’s father is a car salesman, and his mom is a before and after school site lead as well as a director for a daycare. Shawn has one sister, one set of grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. We make sure to spend time around Thanksgiving and on Christmas with Shawn’s family. Both of our families are very excited to welcome a baby into their lives.
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and we not only have amazing families but the best friends any couple could ask for, who make our village extensive and strong.
What Led Us To Adoption
We’ve always wanted to be fathers and are excited about the process of adoption. We are full of love for each other, and we are excited to share that love with our future child. Shawn’s father was adopted, so Shawn always saw adoption as important. Adam has many friends who have adopted, so he knew that would be the best option to become a father. We are open to any type of adoption (open, semi-open, or closed), and we look forward to welcoming not only your baby but also you into our family.
