Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. Our family is built on love. Much like a house can’t be a home without love, neither can our growing family. Humbled by the possibility of connecting with you, we have an overwhelming sense of gratitude and eagerness!
Staying true to one’s self is truly a fundamental principle of how we live. This will be the legacy we hope to be so fortunate to pass along to a child. Packed with humor, passion, love, and commitment, our marriage and best-friendship are what guide us through this adoption process. It is our hope that if we connect, that sense of authenticity shines!
If you choose us as adoptive parents, we anxiously await the opportunity to learn how to honor your legacy. Share a little, share a lot – know that your sense of courage and unconditional love will be very present in your child’s upbringing. If you choose us, your child will never suffer from a lack of love and support. He or she will be loved by our strong and open-minded family and friends! We are here as open-books to answer any questions or thoughts that you may have about or for us. We’re only a phone call away!
It all started back in the winter of 2012. Andi had just moved to Florida while Lauren was just doing her job as a telerecruiter. This call of December 2012 was the call to change both of our lives. We married five years later! There was no denying our connection was instant. We feel so fortunate that we are not only spouses but also the best of friends!
We both would agree that Sunday is our favorite day of the week. We enjoy going to church, having lunch with friends, watching football, and finishing up the day with Sunday dinner. We love to travel, both locally in Florida and around the country. We spent seven wonderful days last summer in northern California and had a great time seeing Lauren’s family as well as making new memories. We’re hopeful our next big adventure will be becoming parents!
Without a doubt, we have always known that expanding our family was just a matter of time. Proactively, we built our four-bedroom house with a pool on the lake to prepare. Our neighborhood is safe and filled with growing families, there are children of all ages playing in the yard just like we remember doing when we were little. We are officially settled into our home and we look forward to hearing little feet running down the stairs! Our community is nestled between beaches, a quaint downtown area, parks, and nature preserves. After we spoil our cats, McCallister and Pandi, our weekends include plenty of activity in the Sunshine State. We love where we live!
Our Extended Family
We have wonderful memories of our childhoods with our families. Spread wide from coast to coast, we never have a shortage of places to find family to visit! Traditions are near and dear to our hearts. We love to celebrate the Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning, followed by watching “The Parade.” We love to host Super Bowl parties for our friends and their little ones. And we love celebrating American Easter in Illinois on the farm with Lauren’s family and Greek Easter in Florida with Andi’s.
Lauren’s mother and grandparents live in a farm community in Illinois, while her brother lives in “The Windy City.” A short flight away, we are fortunate to spend much time in the Land of Lincoln. Lauren’s Dad lives less than ten miles away in an extremely family-friendly beach community. We are very lucky to have him just a phone call away.
Andi’s parents and younger brother are local, while her older brother and his wife are a quick flight away in Virginia. With plenty of family within the state, “Big Fat Greek” meals and quality time are a common theme.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always wanted to be parents and had discussed our various options while dating. We both grew up with lots of siblings and cousins, so being around children and starting a family felt natural to us. Once we became engaged and were headed towards marriage, the conversations about expanding our family became more serious. Inspired by Andi’s cousin who has adopted twice, our family-growth track was clear! Planners that we are, our path was marriage first and then building our dream house for a family to grow in. With plenty of room in our house and hearts, we look forward to filling this space with lots of snuggles, love, and laughter!
