dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

How can I ever express my gratitude to you? I can only imagine the level of difficulty and the emotions that have gone into you considering an adoption plan for your baby. I can only imagine the moments that will follow as you learn to heal and love yourself through your next transition in life. The courage it must take to decide this is best for your child is truly amazing.

I have no judgment for the path you have walked. We are all walking our own journey, and it looks so different for us all. Just know that I believe in you. I believe this choice you are making was your choice and was best for you both.

I want you to know I am ready. I am ready to be the guiding light in your child's life, and I am ready to help them learn and grow. I will be open and honest with our child from an early age and will be sure to share the love you poured over them. Without your love and sacrifice, I would not be in a position to share my love and life with a baby. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for considering me.

Without your love and sacrifice, I would not be in a position to share my love and life with a baby. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for considering me.

About Me

My name is Angie, and I own and operate an insurance and financial services agency in the beautiful state of Montana. I love the outdoors and spend a great deal of time hiking in the mountains and riding my mountain bike. When Montana gets too cold outside, my favorite pastime is reading by the fire. I have a great love for humanity and serve on the board for a local organization that helps homeless teens. I do this because when I was young, my family was homeless off and on through my middle school and high school years. My dedication to kindness and understanding that we all have a unique story drives me in my business and social life.

My Home & Pets

I love my home, and it’s perfectly set up to grow a family. I have a backyard with a large apple tree, and in the fall, deer come into the backyard and eat the fallen apples. My neighborhood is one block away from an elementary school, and the neighbors are a wonderful mix of young families and retired couples. We have a community garage sale once a year and all get together to walk around and look at Christmas lights in the winter. I've already started a gender neutral nursery to make sure I am ready to dedicate all my time to the new baby when he or she comes.

My Extended Family

I am surrounded by so many amazing people in my life who are excited to be a part of a child’s life. I have a sister and brother in Washington who come to Montana once or twice a year, and between them, I have two nephews, ages 9 and 12, and a niece, age 16. My sister who lives in Montana will be a constant in my child’s life. We do lots of outdoor activities and plan to get a few fancy chickens for the backyard just for giggles. ;)

I have many friends with children in every sport imaginable, and they will be very involved as the child grows. My mother and father will be retired soon and have already planned to visit when the big day comes.

What Led Me To Adoption

I have always felt adoption was going to be a part of my life. I’ve dreamed of being a mother and guiding a child through the ups and downs of life for many years. My experience during childhood navigating parts of the social systems, such as welfare and other local organizations, has given me a balanced look at life as I age. My best friend was adopted from Korea, and we have spent countless hours exploring her story and feelings as an adoptee.
