Dear Expectant Mother,
I am eternally grateful to you for considering me to love and raise your child, and I want you to know how much love and support they will receive in return. I recognize that you’re choosing to give the ultimate gift, and I am thankful for your decision. I will let your child know about this journey and we will cherish you always.
Your child will be surrounded by family and friends who will love him or her unconditionally. I plan to be there for your baby just as my parents were there for me, as he or she will be my greatest gift. I am so excited about becoming a mom and can’t wait to share experiences with your child. I look forward to meeting you and helping you through this difficult journey, and I can’t wait to get to know you so your child can know all about you, too.
I hope to raise a child who wants to explore: education, travel, life, and love. One who loves unconditionally and has the family and friends who will support them in all their endeavors. This journey is one I look forward to walking with you.
My career calling came through one of many family moves when I was younger, when I was placed in drafting and wood shop classes as an eighth grader. Now, I am an architect who focuses on K-12 education projects, helping school districts improve facilities for children. My immediate family is small, just my parents and my sister, but we are very close. My sister is my identical mirror twin and is just one minute younger. We have always been best friends. People describe me as loving, funny, smart, and quick-witted, and it’s true that I love to laugh. I have a great group of extended family and friends who I enjoying spending time with at social gatherings, especially during the holidays.
I live in a diverse neighborhood, in a beautiful town near a major city in Northern California. My neighborhood has great schools within walking distance and parks and recreation activities, and there are over 50 miles of trails used all the time. There is a “tot lot” just down the street from my house that parents take their kids to all the time, and I can’t wait to do the same. My home is an open floor plan, one story with homey décor and furniture. It has three bedrooms and a cute, fenced yard overlooking the wetlands.
My Extended Family
My family and friends are my support system and my cheerleaders, there for me no matter what. When I told them of my wish to adopt, they were the first to ask what they could do to help; they are so excited to be a part of this journey, and like me, they can’t wait to welcome a child into our lives.
My immediate family includes a family of friends who I have known since the first day of kindergarten; through multiple moves to different states, we have stayed a family, and about ten years ago, we all ended up in the same city. Now we share birthdays, holidays, and “just because” social gatherings, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
During the holidays, my family makes over 30 kinds of homemade cookies for family and friends, a tradition that has been going on since before I was born and one which I can’t wait to share with a child. My family goes on vacations together at least once a year, as well, as we all love to travel and especially enjoy the beach.
What Led Me To Adoption
I grew up in a loving household and always knew I was destined to be a mom. I thought my journey to becoming a mother would be more traditional, but that has not come to fruition, so I found myself drawn to adoption. I know my family and friends are very excited that I have chosen to pursue my dream of being a mom through adoption, and we all can’t wait to welcome a new child into the family.
