Dear Expectant Mother,
You are already our hero by giving us the opportunity to create a family through your consideration of adoption. While we can’t fully understand the emotions and feelings you have gone through to reach the point of reading our letter, we empathize and are unimaginably supportive of your journey. You are courageous, selfless, and compassionate. Please know we are a champion for you and your baby.
As we embark on our journey to become fathers, we hope for nothing less than to provide your baby with a stable and loving home that values tradition, education, and above all, family. We are both devoted to creating a rich family life full of laughter, memories, and the magic that binds those that care about each other together. As a part of our family, we promise to support your child in understanding the uniqueness of who he or she is. We will strive to encourage your child to dream without limitations and to love without boundaries.
We are humbled by your consideration of us as adoptive parents, and we are so excited to share ourselves with you. We hope to one day soon make a connection with you and have the chance to learn more about you.
After our first trip together eight years ago, we knew we were meant to be together and would one day be married. Bryce enjoys days as a second-grade teacher, filled with little ones learning and playing, and Dustin works in real-estate development, creating communities for growing families. Together, we’ve recently started a fitness routine and have grown to love the community aspect of the workouts. On a typical weekend, you can find us enjoying time by the lake with our dogs, trying new recipes, and exploring the city with friends. We have always enjoyed exploring new destinations together, and we try to visit somewhere new each year. One of our favorite destinations and traditions as a couple is to spend the holiday season in the Rockies.
We live in a family-oriented community with parks and access to hiking and biking trails, filled with couples who are just getting started building their families. Our house is a new construction, with four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, perfect for family visitors and holiday celebrations. It’s the ideal choice for us because of the desirable school district, proximity to outdoor activities, and access to a variety of cultural events. We share our home with two loving dogs, Peatree and Aspen, both of whom love meeting new people and playing with kids.
Our Extended Family
We’re lucky to have family living coast-to-coast, and we all take turns visiting or hosting throughout the year. We’re grateful to have a loving and supportive family to visit for many occasions. One of our favorite traditions is spending Christmas in the Rocky Mountains, skiing and visiting with family.
Bryce’s father lives only a few hours away, allowing us to escape the city for a weekend visit or to go on weekend trips around the state. With a quick flight to Florida, we’re able to visit Bryce’s mother, brother, and sister, all of whom we have close relationships with. Dustin’s father and stepmother live in Colorado, with extended family living across the Midwest and East Coast. Wherever we go, we always know family is close by. In addition to our family, we have a close network of friends in our local area that we consider extended family.
What Led Us To Adoption
We’ve always known we wanted to adopt. Even after just a few dates, we ended up discussing the possibility of becoming fathers. Our desire to become fathers has continued to grow as we have experienced the joy when our siblings, cousins, and friends began to have children and build their families. Our journey of finding the perfect home, building a network of friends, and establishing our careers has led us to know we are ready to parent a child.
