Dear Expectant Mother,
You are already our hero by giving us the opportunity to create a family through your courageous and compassionate consideration of adoption. While we can’t fully understand the emotions and feelings that you have gone through to reach the point of reading our letter, we empathize and are unimaginably supportive of your journey. Courage, selflessness, and compassion are all words that we are sure to describe you by the mere fact that you are considering adoption. Please know that we are a champion for you and your baby.
As we embark on our journey to become fathers we hope for nothing less than to provide your baby with a stable and loving home that values tradition, education, and above all family. We are both adamant on creating a rich family life full of laughter, memories, and the magic that binds those that care about each other together.
As part of our family, we promise to support the uniqueness of who they are, encourage him or her to dream without limitation, and love without boundary.
We are humbled by your consideration of us as adoptive parents, and we are so excited to share about ourselves with you. We hope to one day soon make a connection with you and have the chance to learn more about you!
After our first trip together 7 years ago, we knew that we were meant to be together and would one day be married right there in Fredericksburg. Bryce enjoys days filled with little ones as a Kindergarten teacher and Dustin works in real estate development to create communities for growing families.
We have always enjoyed exploring new destinations together and try to visit somewhere new each year. One of our favorite destinations and traditions as a couple is to spend the holiday season in the Rockies.
Together we have recently started Crossfit and have grown to love the high intensity and community aspect of the workouts. On a typical weekend you can find us enjoying time by the lake, trying new recipes, and exploring the city with friends.
We live in a family-oriented community with parks, access to hiking and biking trails, and other couples who are just getting started with parenthood. Our house is a new construction with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths that is perfect for family visitors and holiday celebrations. Our home is the ideal choice for us because of the desirable school attendance zone, proximity to outdoor activities, and access to a variety of cultural events.
We share our home with two loving dogs, Peatree and Carson. Both of our boys love meeting new people and playing with kids. One of the fondest memories of our dogs is when Carson tried to cuddle our friends newborn baby.
Our Extended Family
We are lucky to have family living coast to coast who we take turns visiting or hosting throughout the year. From South Dakota to Florida we are grateful to have a loving and supportive family to visit for many occasions. One of our favorite traditions is spending Christmas in the Rocky Mountains skiing and visiting with family.
Bryce’s father and stepmother live only a few hours away allowing us to escape the city for a weekend visit as well as weekend trips around the state with them both. With a quick flight to Florida we are able to visit Bryce’s mother, brother, and sister who we keep a close relationship with.
Dustin’s father and stepmother live in Colorado with extended family living across the Midwest and East Coast. Wherever we go we always know family is close by.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always known that we wanted to adopt. Even after just a few dates we ended up on a discussion about being fathers. That discussion has continued through our experiences with being a part of our siblings, cousins, and friends becoming parents and starting their families. Our journey of finding the perfect home, building a network of friends, and establishing our careers has led us to know that we are ready to parent a child.
