Christina & James

dear expectant mother

As we sit here writing this letter, we can only imagine how hard this process must be for you, and we want to thank you for considering us as possible parents for your child. We will never know what you are really going through, but please know your child will be loved unconditionally. We were blessed with a 3 ½-year-old son and want nothing more than to grow our family with another precious child.

Our promise to you is that your child will be given endless opportunities to grow and flourish in this world. They will be raised in a supportive and encouraging home to guide them down whichever path they want to choose in life. They will learn to be kind, considerate, and respectful. Your child will live a life of adventure, laughter, and happiness and will be raised knowing exactly how incredibly selfless you are and what you sacrificed. We will cherish and adore your child for the rest of our lives.

We would be eternally grateful to begin this journey with you, to support you with everything that we are able to. We would never claim to be the perfect family, but please know that love is the foundation that built our family, and we have so much more to give.

Your child will live a life of adventure, laughter, and happiness and will be raised knowing exactly how incredibly selfless you are and what you sacrificed.

About Us

We met seven years ago through some mutual friends. We arranged a cute little dinner date, and after spending hours talking and laughing, we both knew we had met our perfect match. Seven months later, James popped the question. Six months after that, we were married, and we were later blessed with our now 3 ½-year-old son. He has brought so much joy to our lives, and we couldn’t imagine life without children. On weekends you can find us doing things like visiting the zoo, swimming at water parks, camping and roasting marshmallows, or going to a movie or baseball game. We are both down to earth and enjoy joking around with each other. We feel life is too short to take things too seriously. James runs and owns two different companies, and Christina works as a Data Quality Analyst. We both have flexible work schedules, which allows us to always put our son first.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a four-bedroom, cozy, ranch-style house on a quiet street. We finally finished the updates we started when we moved in to make it feel like home. We have a large finished basement where we gather for football parties and game nights. The elementary school is a few blocks away, and there is a splash pad and brand new playground that our community just finished this spring. Every summer there is a neighborhood festival with live music, carnival rides, fireworks, and great food. It’s a great way to interact and get to know our community. We have a Goldendoodle named Zoey who loves all the excitement as well.

Our Extended Family

We are extremely close to our extended family. Christina has two sisters (one an identical twin) and a brother, and James has two brothers. We have eight nieces and nephews whom we see on a consistent basis even though we live a few hours away. Our families could not have been happier when we told them about our decision to adopt.

Our favorite holiday has always been Christmas. There is nothing more magical than family gatherings and Christmas music. We enjoy our family traditions, such as baking Christmas cookies and the Christmas carols as we sing, laugh, and dance. Every year we have a Christmas weekend at one family member’s house, where we all stay. We have a rule that if you want to open your present, you must sing a Christmas song. We play games, enjoy great food, and talk and laugh the whole time. We wish more than anything that your baby could share these traditions with us, to help decorate our Christmas tree, build snowmen in the front yard, write their own letters to Santa, and sit by the fireplace drinking hot chocolate while watching our favorite Christmas movies.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our decision to adopt was a rather easy one. We had planned on having two to three children, but after one biological son and numerous failed attempts with IVF to have more children, we knew that adoption would be our next path. Knowing that there is still a chance for us to grow our family is so heartwarming and fulfilling. We also have several friends who came from adopted homes, and they have been our rocks, supporting us through this journey. The only thing that would make us happier is another child to love. We want more than anything for our son to experience the joys of being a big brother and to enjoy a childhood as we both had with our siblings.
