David & Jimmy

dear expectant mother

Until now, we have not met each other. We have lived our lives separately, not knowing that soon we would be connected on a deep and spiritual level. This letter is to thank you for considering us and to tell you how incredible you are. You are courageous, you are beautiful, and you are loved. We are so grateful you are considering such a brave and selfless decision to go the route of adoption. Your bravery may give us the chance to be parents and start a family of our own.

Our relationship and household are so full of love, and we plan on giving your child the happiest life possible. We cannot do this without you, and for this, we will always be thankful for you and your family. You are considering giving us the greatest gift on Earth, and we will carry that appreciation in our hearts forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Your bravery may give us the chance to be parents and start a family of our own.

-David & Jimmy

About Us

Four years ago,we crossed paths at the gym. It was love at first sight. Inseparable ever since, we have formed a love and commitment that is unbreakable. Through the years, we have watched each other grow in several facets of life, including in our professions. David is now a licensed doctor, and Jimmy is the creative director and owner of an international event agency. We balance each other out perfectly. We both grew up in the Midwest. Midwest values were instilled in us early on, so when we met in Southern California, it was like finding someone with the same heartbeat. We are always laughing and trying to make the best out of all situations. We have been each other’s rocks and support through it all and cannot wait to expand our love with a child.

Our Home & Pets

We have the fortune of having two homes. Our full-time home is in Southern California. The air is always crisp, and the people are always smiling! Our neighborhood is surrounded by culture and parks, and our complex is full of young families with their newborns and toddlers. Our second residence is utilized in the summer so we can be close to our family and spend time on the lake. Lake Erie is literally our backyard. There is a very warm and loving energy that comes with the lake house. We have an Aussie-doodle named Gus Gus. He is the absolute friendliest dog, and this breed specifically is great with children. We cannot wait for him to be a protective big fur brother.

Our Extended Family

Family is everything to us. We both have extremely strong bonds with our families, and they are thrilled for our new journey. When we told them we had decided to proceed with adoption, saying they got emotional would be an understatement. This will be the first grandbaby for David’s side and the third for Jimmy’s. Jimmy has two young nieces whom we are beyond close to, and we know they will be great cousins.

Holidays are spent with our extended families. They either travel to us or we travel to them, but no matter what, we are together. Luckily, since our families are only a few hours apart, we have the great situation of not leaving anyone out. The saying “home is for the holidays” rings true for both of us.

As a couple, we have made traveling a tradition. We do one big trip a year, such as Aruba or Tulum, and then several smaller, drivable excursions to the desert or nearby ocean cities. We look forward to family vacations, and we are sure an annual pass to Disney is probably inevitable!

What Led Us To Adoption

Since our first year as partners, we knew we wanted to be fathers. When, where, and how was never discussed because we knew when it was right, we would both know. In our hearts, we know the time is right now and private adoption is the way to go. It allows us to connect with a mother and both partake in a beautiful gift. Helping others is part of our being, and in this scenario, a mother helps us and we in turn can promise the best home and life for her child.
