Dear Expectant Mother,
It takes an extremely amazing person to consider adoption for their child. It exemplifies your unending love and commitment to your baby. We cannot even begin to imagine the courage, sacrifice, and strength it takes to be able to do what you’re doing, and we admire you and respect you so much for this reason.
It is our great honor to try to live up to your example and show that same sacrifice and love for your baby. Your baby will grow up with the knowledge that they are incredibly loved, not by just us, but you as well. We will always strive to put their needs first, and will provide the safe and nurturing environment that they deserve. It will also be our mission to ensure your baby is provided with the best opportunities, education, and healthcare in order for them to grow into a happy, intelligent, and healthy child. Your baby’s unique talents, interests, and gifts will be encouraged and supported. They have so many friends and family already who are excitedly awaiting their arrival.
Our words and actions cannot begin to convey how grateful we are to you. By making this decision, you are giving us an opportunity to be parents, which is one of the greatest gifts in life. We hope you will find peace and solace throughout your journey and know that your sacrifice and kindness will never be forgotten.
We are a laid-back, adventurous, goofy, and fun-loving couple. We met four-and-a-half years ago, when a mutual friend set us up on a blind date. Davon had just returned from an eleven-month deployment in Afghanistan with the United States Army. We immediately hit it off, and we dated for the next three years. We were married in a small ceremony on Christmas Eve in 2017, and every day since then we are reminded of why we fell in love, and we continue to grow closer and stronger each day. We care deeply about helping others and have gone into professions in public service that focus on making our community and people's lives better. Clint is also currently attending law school part-time, and Davon is working towards a graduate degree in healthcare.
We live in a diverse, family-friendly neighborhood located in a quiet part of the city; our neighborhood features a pool, tennis court, and basketball court. There are parks, restaurants, shopping, and exceptional schools close by. We are centrally located between two large cities that feature an unlimited amount of sporting events, museums, amusement parks, zoos, and historically significant sites. Our dogs, Ruger and Trigger, are both German Shepherds. We enjoy taking them to all the local dog parks and walking the trails spread throughout the city. They are great with our friends’ children, and they are looking forward to having another human to love and play with.
Our Extended Family
Both of our families play a significant role in our lives. We’re both so fortunate to have loving and encouraging family members that provide such a strong network of support. They cannot wait to share in this awesome journey with us and welcome a new member into our families.
We both grew up in the Midwest surrounded by large extended families. Davon is from a small town outside Springfield, Missouri. He grew up with his parents and his two older siblings. Clint grew up in the Des Moines, Iowa area with his parents and three siblings.
Both of our families share a love and appreciation for holidays and traditions, something they have passed down to us. We look forward to spending holidays and birthdays together with family and friends, people who have always made the holidays so much fun and who have filled them with such love and warmth. Growing up celebrating holidays and taking part in traditions always seemed truly magical for both of us, and this is an experience that we hope to pass down as well. We’re so excited to share our family’s traditions with your child, and over time we will create fun and exciting traditions of our own as well.
What Led Us To Adoption
After much thought and reflection, we have reached a point in our lives where we’re ready to become dads. Honestly, we are so excited to be starting this process and taking our first steps to making this happen. We realize that adoption can be a challenging and rewarding process, and we are ready to embrace whatever comes our way with optimism and hope. Our appreciation and respect for adoption is immense. Davon’s older sister was adopted before he was born, and she has been there for him from the very beginning. Just like Davon’s parents, we hope to adopt in order to add to our family and to have a child for us to love, protect, and teach.
